There is a great many software systems, allowing you to find out, probably, almost all the information about a computer, software, some technical specifications. For example, Aida 64 and others. Your attention is invited to a utility that allows you to extract data about the graphics card of your PC. This software is called GPU-Z.

The developer is TechPowerUp. For example, when a game is running, any video, you can track how loaded it is in this moment video card. You can download in Russian gpu z for windows 7 x64 on our website.

In general, GPU-Z works with different versions operating system Windows. This information will be useful to you if you need to download this software for a different version of the OS. It also works with graphics cards such as Intel, NVIDIA and others. The program is Russified.

So, what information will you get after installing GPU-Z? Information about the video card: its model, memory parameters (size, type, etc.), information about the transistor, bus, video adapter, driver type. Data about the sensor, namely temperature, load, core frequency and memory; chip data, parameters for each of its components; fan speed data. You will be able to determine the area of the chip, the BIOS of the video adapter and save a copy of it on the PC hard drive (to restore it if necessary). Also screenshot information in gif format. Compare PC Configurations When Evaluating Health software. Work in an online database where you can enter the results of data comparison. You see all parameters in real time. You can adjust the refresh rate of the data. By the way, the so-called “certification” is built into the utility, which can serve as confirmation of the achievement of good frequencies. GPU when it is in the process of overclocking.

You can download gpu z and immediately run advanced diagnostics that will display various indicators regarding the state of your PC.

You can run the program without installing the file. It weighs a little, a few megabytes.

GPU-Z is well adapted to the Windows 7 x64 operating system without any complications or incompatibility issues. The program will be especially needed by advanced users who like to use the capabilities of their PC to the maximum. But even if you are a regular user and do not know such words as bus, frequency and others, then you can start by monitoring the temperature of the card. And this is important for maintaining the normal state of the video card. In the future, you will be able to understand why problems arise when the picture freezes, is displayed in squares, etc. By clarifying the information about the video card, you can fix the problems that have arisen.

Nevertheless, GPU-Z is a great program for absolutely all users, besides, it is constantly being developed and updated. Eliminates bugs and gaps in previous versions, adds support for new adapters. It can tell you everything you can about the graphics card.

GPU-Z Portable is a small portable program, which will tell you everything about your graphics card and GPU. It was developed by TechPowerUp. This program is designed for the Windows operating system. She supports graphics devices from companies such as N'Vidia, AMD, Intel.

In the GPU-Z Portable RUS version, the interface has already been translated into Russian and is so simple that even a beginner in computer business can figure it out. The functions that it performs will be discussed below. You can also download it from our website.

You can download GPU-Z Portable for Windows from the official website of the TechPowerUp developer or from the links below for free:

Immediately after launching the GPU-Z Portable utility, on the top panel and on the first tab called "video card" you can see all the technical characteristics of the video card installed either in a computer or in a laptop. Moreover, the program immediately detects a discrete video card and a built-in motherboard, and will let you choose the characteristics of which one you will need to view.

At the bottom of the displayed GPU-Z Portable interface on the screen there is a small window in which the name of your GPU is inscribed. If there are two of them - discrete and built-in, then move the cursor over this window and click on it with the mouse button. And choose the characteristics of which video card you want to see first.

Now that we have selected one of the video cards whose data we want to know, let's go up again and start from the first line called "Name". Here is the name of the manufacturer of your video card and the model. Further, if you look at the left column, then from the data indicated on it we can find out the code name of the GPU, the technical process of the video card and the year of release. From the right column we learn about the size of the core crystal and the number of transistors installed in the video card.

The next line determines the BIOS version of the video adapter. And then the interface is again divided into two columns. Let's, as for the first time, turn to the left column. From it we can find out the device ID number, operation blocks, the type of memory of the video card and its size in megabytes. From the right column, we learn about the version of the device in which the video card is integrated. The following lists the bus interface and which version of Direct X it supports.

The next thing we see in this column is the texture fill rate, which is indicated in Gtextel\sec and throughput tires. Its unit is in gigabits per second.

From the left column, we learn about the frequency of the overclocked processor and the frequency of the processor set by the manufacturer. The frequency is measured in megahertz. From the right column we learn about the processor frequency, but only in Turbo mode. This frequency is also measured in megahertz and can be overclocked and pre-installed by the graphics card manufacturer.

GPU-Z Portable also shows if the technology for connecting multiple video cards through a special bridge is enabled. If motherboard does not have cross-platform support, then we simply observe the inscription: “Disabled”.

The last thing we can find out is which of the architectures computing processes has a video card.

Let's move on to the second tab on the top panel of GPU-Z Portable. The inscription on it reads "sensors".

Here we see:

  • GPU operating frequency (current, min. and max. values);
  • video memory frequency (current, min. and max. values);
  • sensor for determining the temperature of the device (current, min. and max. values);
  • processor load sensor;
  • loading the GPU memory controller;
  • GPU core video load sensor;
  • dedicated memory sensor;
  • dynamic memory sensor;
  • measured GPU voltage value.

You can also set the refresh rate of the sensors yourself.

The user can check the box for recording data from sensors in the GPU-Z Portable log, where after a certain time, he will be able to compare past performance with the current ones and determine whether the GPU needs maintenance or thermal paste replacement.

As an additional option for GPU-Z Portable, its developers have created a small button located at the top right corner, which serves to create a screenshot of the indicators.

GPU-Z is a free application for analyzing and displaying information about your PC's graphics card. The GPU-Z program "weighs" only 500 KB and works with NVIDIA cards and ATI.

In fact, the program "gets" technical information, so you definitely need to be more or less an advanced user to be able to read between the lines. Beginners will have to push themselves and call the Internet for help to understand the GPU-Z reports.

Fortunately, the program interface will not scare the user. No command icons or extra features. All for the sake of just one report.

GPU-Z will help you determine the type and model of video card installed on your PC, show its name, detailed characteristics, standard and current frequencies, version of the "valid" driver. GPU-Z receives data from the sensors of the video card, in addition to frequency fluctuations, it also displays the rotation speed and temperature of the fans on the mini-graphs. As in the CPU-Z application, this program has its own “certification” function - with its help you can fix the achieved record frequencies during overclocking.

Essentially, GPU-Z is a small tool that launches a small tabbed interface. No calls or signals, only one information in the dialog box. Downloading GPU-Z is just a matter of running the file - no installation or configuration required. When launched, the program will immediately start scanning your system and give you the name of the card, information about the CPU core, release date and transistors, BIOS version, type and amount of memory.

You will not find a help file in the utility itself. No wonder, because all the functions of GPU-Z are reduced to the description of one element of your system, and the whole process proceeds automatically. So Help is rather inappropriate, a good replacement would be short instruction Readme.

GPU-Z does not offer a wide range of features, but it does its job perfectly. Of course, newcomers to the computer business will have a hard time, but if your video card is acting up, the GPU-Z utility can help with useful information. And with its help, you can prepare in advance for the irreversible replacement of the video card itself.

Main characteristics of GPU-Z:

  • determines the model of the video card;
  • determines the frequencies and names of the GPU, the area of the crystal, the number of installed transistors;
  • defines DirectX support and pixel shader;
  • determines the type, frequency and amount of memory;
  • determination of memory bandwidth;
  • provides information about the type of tire, its width;
  • announces the frequency;
  • determines the driver and BIOS version;
  • "Retrieves" information from the sensors of the GPU core frequency, memory frequency, graphics card (temperature and speed of the cooler).

At the moment, the Russian version of GPU-Z is available for download for free, which can be downloaded without registration and SMS.

GPU-Z is free program, which provides comprehensive information about the technical characteristics of the graphics adapter (video card) of your computer or laptop running Windows.

application parameters
-txt=report Launch CPU-Z in ghost mode: no interface appears, the register dump (report.txt) is automatically created. cpuz.exe -txt=c:\mydirectory\mysystem: runs CPU-Z in ghost mode. Report file mysystem.txt is automatically generated in directory c:\mydirectory.
-html=report Same as "-txt" but generates the html report file.
-core=id Displays clock speed of core #id (id can be set from 0 to "Number of cores minus one"). It is then possible to check the speed of each core by running as many instances of CPU-Z as necessary, using batch files for example: cpuz0.bat: cpuz.exe -core=0 cpuz1.bat: cpuz.exe -core=1 Note that the current core can be dynamically selected by right-clicking in the CPU page, and select the target core. This feature is available from version 1.42.
-console Generates output in a command prompt (Windows XP only).
Special Keys

The F5 key allows to save a screenshot as a bmp file in the application directory. These are named cpu.bmp, cache.bmp, mainboard.bmp and memory.bmp.
The F6 key copies of the current page in the clipboard.
The F7 key saves the validation cvf file in the current directory.
The F9 key switches between CPU clock computation methods.

Cache Latency Computing

The cache latency computation tool allows to gather information about the cache hierarchy of the system. For each cache level, it provides its size and its latency. Please note that code caches are not reported.

1.

CPU-Z reports my CPU running below its clock specification or the clock speed is varying.

This is the effect of the CPU power reduction mechanism: C1E (Enhanced Halt State) and/or EIST (Enhanced Intel SpeedStep Technology) for Intel CPUs, Cool"n"Quiet and or PowerNow! for AMD CPUs. Load your system and you will see the frequency increase to its nominal value.

3.

CPU-Z causes a general protection fault, or freezes my system, or causes a blue screen.

Edit cpuz.ini, and replace: DMI=1
Sensor=1
SMBus=1
Display=1
UseDisplayAPI=1 with:
DMI=0
Sensor=0
SMBus=0
Display=0
UseDisplayAPI=0 Then run cpu-z again. If it works, restore the "1" one by one, until the problem occurs again. Then send an email and mentioning which "1" is responsible.

4.

Why does CPU-Z misreport my memory module specification ? For example, my DDR2-800 is reported as DDR2-667.

The memory theoretical bandwidth is computed using the module access time information for the maximal CAS# latency value, included in the SPD area. If the computed bandwidth is lower than the one specified on the memory module, that means that the SPD information on the module is not correctly programmed, or most likely that the bandwidth is not given at the default memory voltage, but at a voltage defined in an extended profile (EPP or XMP).
