ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro | Appearance
The keyboard is completely made of black matte plastic, so fingerprints are practically not visible on it. The ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro is quite large in size, it looks reliable and at the same time beautiful.
The top of the keyboard is noticeably higher than the bottom, making it really comfortable to work on. There are also legs at the back if the standard tilt angle is not enough.
On the bottom side there are four rubberized backings, they are glued quite securely. Given the weight of the keyboard, it is difficult to move it while gaming. Thanks to the “channels” laid in the base of the ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro, you can hide the wires from the mouse and headphones under the keyboard.

ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro comes with one of four types of keys: Cherry MX Black, Cherry MX Red, Cherry MX Brown, Cherry MX Blue. They differ in the “severity” of pressure and the response to pressure. We received a keyboard with keys most suitable for games - Cherry MX Black. They differ from the others in that the pressing force in them is uniform, that is, the actuation point of the key is not felt. The pressing force on the keys is high, so you don’t have to worry about accidental presses during games, but at the same time, the key travel is very soft. Together, all this results in a keyboard that is ideal for gaming. For typing, the ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro is less suitable, since there is not enough “return contact” from pressing. The keyboard, like any other mechanical keyboard, is very loud.
The ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro features a fully customizable blue backlight, the brightness of which can also be adjusted.
The cable is made of fabric braiding, hard and thick, so bending it will be problematic. At the output, it branches into 4 wires: USB for the keyboard itself, USB for an additional USB port and two 3.5 mm plugs.
In general, the keyboard is made of very high quality and there are no complaints about the build quality.
ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro | Software
On the first page you can configure the meaning of the system keys ( Caps Lock, FN key, Windows key, Tab), and also disable their action completely. Here you can also control the brightness of the backlight (6 levels), time to turn off the backlight, and sound signals when switching profiles. The reset button is located below.
The second page assigns a primary and secondary function to each key. You can assign not only a macro to a key, but also the activation of a program, so the keyboard can be useful both in games and in everyday work.

ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro | Testing
As mentioned earlier, we received a sample of the ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro keyboard with Cherry MX Black keys for review. They are really comfortable to play. Accidental pressing does not occur due to the relatively high pressing force. However, the key travel is soft and even, so the keyboard is perfect for continuously and quickly pressing buttons.
True, typing on keys of this type is not very comfortable, the reason for this is that the actuation point is not felt at all. In games this is not important, because in them you “hit” the buttons all the way, but when typing you want to feel “ feedback"keyboards.
ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro has an n-key rollover system - this means that the keyboard will perceive and process all keystrokes that have been made. We verified this fact using the PassMark Keyboard Test program. ROCCAT Ryos MK Pro recorded all 32 presses; we simply could not press more buttons at the same time.

This is a mechanical keyboard that has two 32-bit processors. Moreover, one of them completely works for the keyboard backlight, and the other is responsible for turning on and recording macros to the media. In addition, the keyboard's own processing power relieves the computer, which makes each key act faster. Such independence cannot but rejoice.
The keyboard provides additional convenience with a built-in display. All information on the modes that are included in the currently. For those who use many settings and need to quickly switch between them, such visibility in control will definitely not hurt.
Roccat Ryos MK PRO - gaming keyboard
In other respects, ROCCAT did not lie in the fact that they called their model customizable. The keyboard comes with one of four types of keys with different actuation force and tactile feedback. Each type is marked with its own color: blue, black, brown and red. The “blue” keyboard provides a stable sound and tactile connection with the keys. When pressed, a distinct click is heard and a push is felt, while the key is pressed halfway and requires a force of 50 grams. “Black” is completely devoid of tactile feedback, as well as sound. In this case, the pressing force is 60 grams. This option will be ideal for players who want to get rid of accidental clicks. In “brown” the player feels a jolt, but there is no sound. The force required here is 45 grams, and this can be called a compromise between “blue” and “black”. And finally, the “red” keyboard is distinguished by its lack of tactile feedback and light clicks, which is useful for quiet operation. Moreover, each key in the Ryos MK Pro keyboard has a durability life of 50 million keystrokes. This was achieved thanks to the mechanical design of the buttons.

The keyboard comes in a massive package in a traditional black and blue design. On the edges of the packaging there is a photograph of the keyboard, notes on the main technologies, advantages and technical characteristics.
In addition to the keyboard itself, the buyer receives a set of documentation. Actually, this is all that is needed to start using it.
Appearance
The first thing that catches your eye is the dimensions; the keyboard is massive and will require space on your desktop; they are 234x508 mm. At the same time, its weight approaches 1.5 kg. At first glance, the figure is frightening, but I doubt whether we will keep it on our knees. The large mass plays a positive role; it takes a lot of effort to accidentally move the keyboard.
The main material is high-quality black plastic. A combination of different surfaces is used here. In places where frequent contact with fingers is expected, a special coating is applied. It is fingerprint resistant, that's for sure. It feels like a cross between gloss and soft-touch.
In the lower part there is a large area for placing the wrists; unlike the Isku, there is a small indentation here, it feels like the angle of placing the hands has become more comfortable.
In the left zone there are five additional buttons M1-M5; each button can be assigned two separate actions.
There are three more buttons at the bottom, they are located within easy reach of the thumb. By default, they are responsible for switching settings profiles. At the top, the block of media buttons is combined with the F1-F12 buttons, use required action can be done using the FN button.
On the right side there is a USB hub with two ports; they can be used to connect an external drive or, for example, a transmitter for a wireless mouse.
On the left is an audio output for headphones and an audio input from a microphone. Convenient, no need to reach for the body.
The keys deserve special attention; this is a mechanical keyboard; MX Black buttons are used. This is one of the best solutions available today. These buttons are characterized by linear travel. The actuation point is not felt, the key travel is six millimeters, the actuation point is located at a distance of two millimeters. There is a slight noise when pressed.
The bottom edge has cable management, four rubber inserts and two feet. The latter can change the tilt of the keyboard; two positions are available. The keyboard is connected using a massive cable in a protective braid. Not only a USB cable is hidden inside, but also an audio cable. When all connectors are fully utilized, you will need a pair of audio jacks and two USB connectors.
There are no complaints about the build quality. Everything was done perfectly.
Software and setup
To use all the provided functionality, you cannot do without proprietary software. Latest version can be downloaded from the official website. For fans and users of Roccat peripherals, the appearance of this utility will be very familiar. A single, effective design is used.
The windows are literally filled with all kinds of switches and settings. It will take more than one hour to master everything. At the same time, you can start using the keyboard immediately after connecting, discovering something new every time. The main window contains a set general settings, set a button to activate the EasyShift function, enable voice guidance and a number of other parameters. At the bottom you can manage settings profiles, saving and loading previously created ones.
The second window is responsible for setting up additional keys and macros. Having tested various solutions, I can safely say that Roccat’s work with macros can be called an example to follow. From the functionality of recording your own macros to selecting preset sets and frequently used hotkeys. In fact, the user can use any key on the keyboard for his own actions. The choice is rich.
The third window provides access to advanced functionality for customizing the backlight. Several backlight modes are available: activation of all keys, backlighting in individual zones, active interaction when clicked (buttons can light up after pressing or after pressing, a wave of light can effectively spread over the rest of the area). You can play with the settings for days; the keyboard provides advanced options for individualization. In particular, the function of connecting light to individual keys allows you to comfortably master the control buttons in a new game, when you don’t have to look for the right key.
The fourth window contains the already familiar achievement system, similar to that found in other solutions. Here you can also keep statistics on the use of keys, adjusting the macro settings.
