If the printer is Epson TX117, TX119, TX106, TX109 does not recognize the cartridges, and constantly swears that the cartridges need to be replaced, then most likely the cause of this is a blown fuse F2 on the main board of the printer.

But before you hack the fuse itself, I recommend paying attention to the cables going to the print head.

Such problems usually arise when the contacts of the print head are flooded with ink, as a result a short circuit occurs and the fuse on the board blows. So, if the contacts of the print head are flooded, they need to be washed of ink and dried properly.

After this, you can proceed to restoring the printer board itself Epson TX117, TX119, TX106, TX109

Here it is actually fuse F2 itself, first I advise you to test it with a multimeter, and if it is really dead, you can simply solder a jumper instead.

That’s actually the whole collective farm, we assemble it, launch it and now it’s a miracle, everything works and recognizes the cartridges normally :)

Thank you, everything was done, the fuse was burned out, I didn’t see anything, the Epson TX 109 printer after cleaning my head, I carried it wherever I accidentally read it
Say hello after installation, the printer streaks in all colors, what are they doing and are the heads tx117 tx119 tx106 the same THANK YOU for the advance

yes, the heads on these models are the same

Explain how to ring the fuse? How to recognize that a fuse has blown?

very simple, it is either intact or the tester will show a break...

Novel - 19.09.2016

I changed the cartridges. I installed the original ones, they used to have a PSC, zero emotions, it says that the cartridges cannot be identified. Pulling one out also doesn’t react at all. The cable rang everything clean. Why is the cartridge detection board (csic) from cx4300 not suitable for tx109 chips and pg are the same.

The PG and chips are the same, but the recognition and firmware boards are different, the cartridges may be faulty, try other known good ones and check the fuse on the board

Good afternoon I bought an Epson tx106 printer, with a CISS, everything worked, I washed EVERYTHING (both diapers and diapers, completely disassembled) after assembling and turning on the printer goes through an internal check (the carriage moves from edge to edge) when the check should end (in time) the carriage moves to the left ( not reaching the edge by about 1 cm) and the power light blinks. after this the printer does not respond to anything.
if you take out the cartridges, then first there is a check for them, if they are missing, it does the right thing - it swears (flashes), when I put the cartridges in place - I press the button - I also drove around and froze in the left corner
question - did pg die? and also - what resistance should fuse f2 and f1 have? without desoldering they showed nothing
thank you in advance!

most likely one of the fuses has blown, check the circuit breaker and the cable to the PG for a short circuit

The tx109 multifunction printer has stopped detecting all cartridges. The fuses are intact. I decided to replace the csic board for detecting cartridges. I found it from the cx4300, does it fit it?

First of all, try replacing the cartridges themselves, then tinker with the printer itself... the cx4300 board will not work

Rope - 25.03.2016

I checked, the fuses are intact, but the printer does not see the black cartridge until you take out the other cartridges (usually blue), together everything is detected except black, sometimes after idle time you turn it on, for no apparent reason it sees all the cartridges, tries to bleed them, apparently then again gets up and doesn’t see the black cartridge. What is the problem? Tell?

Most likely the problem is in the cartridges themselves

Epson TX117 with CISS, did not work for about a year (conflict in Donbass). When turned on, everything began to pump quickly, the ink flowed through the tubes, the carriage was running, and then two red “paper and drop” indicators came on, and there was silence. I took out the cartridges, visually they were not filled, the “diaper” was not very saturated. The installation disk was missing. After installing via the Internet, all the drivers are installed, but then when you try to reset, the message “The service life of the ink-absorbing lining has expired. Contact the Epson service center.” and “The printer is turned off, or another problem has occurred,” respectively, programs for resetting the counter do not see the device. Sorry for a lot of blah blah blah, but only on your site I found something similar to my problem. Thank you completely identical.

Refueling the System.

Before installation, we fill the system with ink by opening the large (filling) holes and closing the small (air) holes.

Fill the containers with ink 80-90%, close the filling holes and open the air holes.

We turn over the cartridge part of the CISS, carefully insert the syringe nose into the cartridge valve and pump out the air from the system by pulling out the syringe piston. The cartridges should be filled with ink. As soon as the ink begins to flow into the syringe, remove the syringe and do this operation with the remaining colors. (ATTENTION, be careful with the chip, do not break the ink level reset button)

Installation of the System.

Set the carriage to the “replacing ink cartridges” position (Start? Settings? Printers and Faxes (right-click on the printer shortcut) Properties? Printing settings? Service? Status monitor? Replacing the cartridge)

Turn off the printer power for ease of operation (installing cartridges and routing the cable)

Settings -> Printers and Faxes -> Properties -> Settings -> Prints -> Tools -> Status Monitor -> Replacing the Cartridge"> title="Start -> Settings -> Printers and Faxes -> Properties -> Settings -> Print -> Service -> Status Monitor -> Cartridge Replacement"> !}

After this, it is necessary to cut off the corner rib on the left side of the MFP body so that the carriage can move freely with the CISS installed (This procedure is only necessary for Epson printers TX117, TX119, TX106, TX109, because The fin of these printers is located so high that the ink plume gets stuck between it and the carriage. There is no need to cut off the edge on the CX4300 MFP.)

We install the CISS cartridge part into the carriage. Cartridges should be inserted tightly until ALL FOUR clips click into place, although you may have to apply a little more force than when installing original cartridges.

Cable laying.

We install the cable into a plastic holder and glue it to the top of the printer body. The holder must be secured so that in the extreme positions of the carriage the cable does not sag and is not stretched. Move the carriage to the far left, then to the far right and find the optimal cable length for free movement of the print head.

After this, we fix the cable on the right side of the body and carefully close the lid so that the ink cable is not pinched anywhere and the ink can flow freely into the print head.

We install ink tanks next to the printer and insert air filters into the air holes (Attention, ink tanks must be installed STRICTLY at the level of the printer. When installing tanks higher, for example, on the MFP body, ink will flow out through the cartridges, which can damage the device. When installing tanks below the level of the MFP, ink will not flow normally into the cartridge part, which may cause air to enter the print head.)

Nozzle check.

Print the “Nozzle Check” test page. If the grid is printed without gaps, you can start working with the printer. If the test prints with gaps, clean the print head through the printer driver. If after several cleanings the grid still prints with gaps, turn off the MFP and let it sit for 5-6 hours so that the air bubbles that entered the system during installation are completely released from the cartridges and ink tanks.

Resetting the ink counter.

When the printer reports the end of one of the cartridges, you need to reset the chip located on the cartridge part of the CISS.

Press the “Replace Cartridge” button, after which the carriage will move to the cartridge replacement position. Press the button located on the chip for 3 seconds and press “OK”

The printer will perform a standard cleaning and show 100% ink level in the finished color, after which you can continue printing.

Refilling with ink.

When 15-20% of ink remains in the ink tanks, it is necessary to refill the system, for this:

  1. Remove the air filters
  2. Close the air holes
  3. Open the filling holes
  4. Add the required amount of ink
  5. Close the filling holes
  6. Open the air holes
  7. Insert air filters

Possible problems and ways to solve them.

The printer does not see all cartridges.

  1. The cartridge part is not fully installed. It is necessary to pull out the cartridge part and install it back into the carriage so that all four clips snap into place.
  2. The contacts on the chips or printer have oxidized. For reliable contact, wipe the chips and the contact group of the printer with an alcohol-containing liquid.

Unprinted places, “streaking”

  1. The ink in the print head has dried out. Clean the print head through the printer driver and print a nozzle test. If necessary, repeat the procedure until a 100% nozzle test appears. If several cleanings do not help, you need to flush the print head ( ).
  2. The cable is pinched. Check the entire length of the cable for kinks. If you find a pinched area, release the cable so that ink can flow normally into the print head. After this, be sure to do a few cleanings through the printer driver.
  3. The ink tanks are installed below the printer level.Place the ink tanks level with the printer and do a few cleanings through the printer driver.

Vertical streaks or drops of ink on printouts.

  1. The ink tanks are installed above the printer level.Place the ink tanks level with the printer.
  2. The filling holes on the containers are open.Close the filling holes.
  3. Ink gets on the paper feed roller.Wipe the roller with a damp cloth.
  4. One of the cartridges is leaking. Remove the cartridge part of the CISS and inspect the cartridges. Replace the current cartridge.

The printer displays the message “General error, please remove the foreign body from the printer.”

  1. The ink line is routed incorrectly. The cable clings to the printer body or prevents the carriage from moving to its extreme positions. Lay the cable in such a way that in the extreme positions there is no tension and does not sag. Make sure that the cable does not touch the printer body anywhere.
  2. Something got into the printer body. Check the printer body for foreign objects.

If your printing volumes are small, it will be easier and more convenient to use, they are simple and convenient to use, but require more frequent ink refills compared to CISS.

If any complaints arise about the quality of the original cartridge, we are always ready to accept it for examination and, if a manufacturing defect is identified, replace it with a new original cartridge free of charge.

compatible cartridges, analogues are cartridges manufactured by third-party manufacturers. Today in Ukraine there are a huge number of brands of compatible cartridges of various quality, so they are much cheaper than original cartridges with a comparable resource and similar print quality. We offer our customers only high-quality compatible cartridges with an unconditional quality guarantee.

ink - used for inkjet printers when refilling cartridges or when using CISS or PZK (refillable cartridges). They, in turn, are divided into water-soluble, sublimation, pigment, fluorescent, etc. Depending on the scope of application (for markings , in the interior, etc.) the ink can be waterproof, lightfast, and fixed with UV rays. We offer ink in various packaging - 100g, 200g, 1 liter, refill sets 3x20g, ink sets of 100g of each color, etc.

CISS - a continuous ink supply system is used to reduce the cost of a print by 40 times or more. Installed on inkjet printers, MFP, plotters, consists of an ink container and a silicone cable. Constant pressure in the system ensures stable printing job devices.

toner - used for refilling cartridges in laser printers . This is a special printing powder that is transferred to paper using a laser, photodrum and charge rollers, followed by baking in the “oven” of the printing device.
