In general, in both of these senses - they can’t hold a candle to the dead ML-2015, I could have tried it earlier - I wouldn’t have bought either of them. But since the sound of the Samsung is still more pleasant, it also had to work a little. And then the time came, and he said that the cartridge, you see, had run out of toner. Well, it’s over - and okay, let’s get some more sleep. We opened it, added the same toner that we used for ML-2015, it prints again (excellent, it should be noted). But then 2000 pages pass, and he declares that now he will not print even with toner, because the cartridge resource has expired. In general, this is nonsense from Samsung's inflamed consciousness - there is enough resource for another 10,000 copies. Okay, now we’ll teach you how to love your Motherland.

As you know, for this MFP (I will sometimes call it a printer, and sometimes an MFP), it is necessary to insert chip cartridges that will tell it that they are brand new. However, there are firmwares that remove this limitation - the main thing is to seal the chips. And starter cartridges come without chips at all, just with textolite plugs. Therefore, if you reflash the CLX-3185FN printer and refill the starter cartridges (the main thing is not to overdo it with toner, otherwise they will start to ink) - then there is no need to seal anything. However, firmware is such a thing, cunning gas stations keep it with them and offer to send it for a certain amount of money. And these companies appear upon request to download the CLX-3185FN firmware - a little less than a completely clogged output. No, I understand when money is taken for the flashing or refilling service itself - but taking it for the firmware is, IMHO, redneck. But the world is not without good people. Unfortunately, the first two attempts to find the FIX firmware ended in failure - when flashing the firmware, the printer persistently displayed an Image Error Reset Printer, which indicated that either the firmware was crooked or simply not suitable for changing this particular firmware. Separately, it should be noted that all firmware is locked to serial number device, so you must first change it to the serial number specified in the firmware. With these Samsungs - it’s generally interesting - according to rumors, earlier firmware cannot be installed on later ones. But a later one can be placed on any earlier one. You can view the version by pressing sequentially [#] [#]. Or you can print [#] ( Report )( Configuration )( Supplies Info ), even if the printer refuses to print at all. I had version V1.01.01.43.FN from Nov-09-2011, i.e. The latest firmware was needed. But the world is not without good people - and finally, the right version was found. Well, then everything is like clockwork:

We assume that the printer is already connected to the computer via USB and turned on.

3. You should unscrew the 2 screws that are used to secure the dosing blade. Be careful not to lose the 2 plates located on the sides of the dosing blade. When removing it, you need to be as careful as possible, since even a small scratch or dent on its surface can cause a deterioration in print quality. Now you need to remove the magnetic shaft drive gear. Be careful not to lose the small washer.

4. Then you need to remove the 2 remaining gears. Remove the black plate of the internal mechanism by first unscrewing 2 screws.

5. Next you need to remove the magnetic shaft. Try not to lose the green washers located on its sides. Wipe the shaft itself with a soft, lint-free cloth. Now, using a compressor or vacuum cleaner, remove the remaining toner from the seal.

6. After this, use long-nose pliers to remove the plug that covers the hole for refilling the cartridge, which is located on the side of the contact pad. Try to do this as carefully as possible, since the risk of damaging the cork is very high.

7. You need to shake out the remaining old toner from the hopper and blow it out using a vacuum cleaner or compressor.

8. Now you need to install the plate back, screwing it with screws. The gears should be installed in accordance with the image.

9. Then install the magnetic shaft. When doing this, make sure that the green plastic bushings are inserted correctly. Next, install the side cover with the contact pad.

10. Reinstall the magnetic shaft drive gear and the double gear. Now put the cover in place, securing it with screws.

12. Now the compatible toner must be poured into the hopper through the filling hole. Then the hole needs to be closed with a plug.

13. Replace the chip; to do this, remove the old one, clean the seat with alcohol, apply double-sided tape, and install a new chip. Cover the magnetic shaft with a protective cover if you do not plan to use the cartridge immediately after refilling.
