Hotels in the region of northern cyprus, cyprus. Cyprus: an ideal option for a holiday in the off-season Holidays in Cyprus booking com

Cyprus is a long-time “friend” of Russian tourists, which became one of the most beloved and promoted destinations at the dawn of the tourism boom and has not lost much of its position since then. Russians continue to come here every year, and many even stay here to live. Those who are only interested in relaxation should take care of a hotel or apartment in advance, so we have made a small guide that covers the types of hotels, room prices and ratings of hotels in Cyprus.

Best hotels in Cyprus

Not everyone can afford the best hotels in Cyprus - prices for accommodation on the island can be quite high, and if we talk about the coolest hotels, then this rule works flawlessly here. Five and four star hotels include a large package of services, the service here is excellent, but the prices around 150 euros are impressive. Those who want to not have to worry about anything during their vacation are happy to choose all-inclusive hotels in Cyprus, a system that has been tried by many tourists. These can be either 4 or 3 star hotels. In Paphos, for example, there are all inclusive hotels Coral Beach, Laura Beach Hotel, Amalthia Beach; in Limassol – Louis apollonian Beach hotel; in Ayia Napa - Neila Beach Hotel; in Larnaca – .

Cyprus hotel prices

Prices for hotels in Cyprus can be surprising - both for the good and for the bad, so you’ll never guess right away. For example, within 100-150 euros in Limassol you can sometimes stay in both a 5-star hotel and a 3-star hotel. Rooms in 3 and 2 star hotels cost less than a hundred euros. For example, such a range of prices can be observed in hotels in Ayia Napa. At the other end of the price scale are luxury 5-star hotels, for example, the Golden Bay Beach Hotel in Larnaca, where in high season a night's room will cost 200 euros or more.

Youth hotels in Cyprus

Cyprus is also known as a country where many noisy parties take place, attracting partygoers from all over Europe. The key place is the resort of Ayia Napa, where probably the best youth hotels in Cyprus are located. Among the specific names are , and others, so if someone in Cyprus wants to enjoy the atmosphere of its nightclubs, then they need to go to Ayia Napa.

Cyprus has hotels to suit every budget, from cheap 2-star hotels to luxurious luxury ones. It is impossible not to notice that the hotels are mostly not new - of course, many of them have been extensively renovated, but the general condition of the hotel rooms is not up to par. This is especially true for low- and mid-budget hotels. The level of service, as a rule, is excellent, and the staff compensate for the small number of hotel stars with their friendliness and respect for Russians.

It is difficult to compare hotels in Cyprus with other countries. Some “five” hotels are not inferior to hotels of this category in the UAE or the Maldives, but mid-level hotels, if the owners have delayed renovations, may not be better than Egyptian ones.

One of the features of hotels in Cyprus is that the coastline does not belong to them. If the directorate has not agreed with the municipality on renting the beach, then most likely you will have to pay for sunbeds and umbrellas. But beach equipment on the hotel premises, even if it is located at a decent distance from the shore, will be free.

Which resort in Cyprus to choose

When choosing a holiday destination in Cyprus, pay attention to the regions: the features of hotels can be determined by geography. For example, most often the beaches of Ayia Napa and Protaras are white sand, and if there are inclusions of pebbles, they are insignificant. Hotels are quite affordable, but even 5-star ones are not always High Quality. However, this is the most popular region - which means that local hotels are always crowded. Therefore, if you definitely want to stay in a good hotel, then you need to choose and book it in advance, preferably in the spring.

Do Larnaca beaches have darker sand? mostly without pebbles. There are few hotels here compared to Ayia Napa, the holiday here is more relaxed, but the service and conditions in the hotels are the same.

Limassol is probably the largest resort in Cyprus, here you will find hotels of famous chains, for example Le Meridien, Amathus. The beaches here are mostly sand and pebble, the quality of service is high.

In Paphos, as in Limassol, there are luxury hotels along with economical and cheap ones. But the sand on the beaches is mostly loose sand; the entrance to the sea is usually along a rocky bottom.

Swimming trunks, swimsuits, and beach slippers are not allowed in restaurants, and you shouldn’t wear them in enclosed public places either.

Types of holidays in Cyprus

There are many hotels on the island that are ideal for family vacation: there is a lot of entertainment here, animators work, children's meals are all inclusive. Some hotels have water slides, and although for Cyprus this is the exception rather than the rule, all resorts have such hotels.

In winter, Cyprus is very popular not only among ordinary tourists, but also among sports teams. Almost every region has hotels that specialize in working with football players. It provides football fields of various levels for training of both semi-professional and top division teams. Also, during the low season, many companies organize conferences and seminars for their employees on the island.

Cyprus is also very popular as a wedding destination - from official registration and weddings before the formal event. Almost all 4* and 5* hotels have experience in holding weddings of various levels.

The Mediterranean is rich in islands with unique nature and landscapes, where you can get a good rest, maximum relaxation away from the hustle and bustle and worries. One of the most visited oases in the region is the island of Cyprus, with an area of 9521 sq. km. The island is divided into two nationalities - Greeks and Turks. The natural location and unique climate attract a large army of vacationers. The island has developed infrastructure, economic and industrial facilities, modern buildings and hotels in Cyprus have been built. One of the pearls of the island is the city of Ayia Napa, whose hotels are lined up right next to the sea coast, where, according to legend, Aphrodite emerged from the foam in the bay of the same name. The clean sandy beach of Coral Bay, green parks, ancient buildings inherited from previous centuries, Paphos hotels located in historical streets. Do not forget that resort towns, hotels, 4.5-star all-inclusive hotels in Cyprus have been awarded the EU flag for environmental cleanliness. Among the attractions are various types of eras - Venetian, Byzantine, Crusader era. Tourists visit Kolossi Castle, the church in which King Richard the Lionheart was married, and the fortress of Venetian soldiers. The British heritage is felt when cars drive on the left and the high level of service in hotels in Cyprus. Most of the cities of the amazing island are included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. In addition to architectural monuments, conferences of representatives of the financial world, the European Union, the island is a favorite vacation spot for families with children. The conditions provided by Cyprus hotels for children with their own beach meet high standards. The leading place among the oases is occupied by Limassol, on the embankment of which there are mini courtyards, pubs, restaurants, and the best hotels in Cyprus. Married couples strive to get into the medieval tower of the famous Othello, the Varosha quarter with a ghost town. The proximity of Mediterranean countries allows lovers of shopping, oriental cultures, and ancient monuments to visit neighboring Egypt, the island of Rhodes, Jordan, and Israel. Large cruise ships are quite comparable to the comfort of a 3,4,5 star hotel in Cyprus with a full range of services. Anyone can book a hotel in Cyprus on the website Hotels. ru.

Adults Jade - Adults Hotel is located right on the sandy beach. It features a modern spa, well-tended gardens and 2 outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated. We rested in the 1st half of October. Weather +27, water +25. The hotel is newly built in 2019. Only for adults, for peace and quiet come here. Already from the entrance you receive a compliment in the form of champagne. There were no queues, check-in went quickly, special thanks to the Russian-speaking administrator Marina (maybe I’m wrong with the name). Room 516 on the 5th floor with a beautiful view of the bay. Everything is new, the furniture is all new, the bed is large and comfortable, touch controls for light, curtains, air conditioning, free water every day. Bathroom with large cubicle, but without bathtub and bidet. Breakfast is good, but not fancy, the juices are freshly squeezed, the coffee is delicious, but the best thing is the view of the sea. There are several restaurants of various cuisines on site, but we didn’t have time to visit them all (the Italian restaurant Marcellos in Protaras is a “5”, the ravioli are excellent...). Sunbeds are reserved for the room for the entire period of stay, but can be changed if desired. There are two pools, both clean, one with a glass wall. They often hand out pieces of fruit, chilled towels and some refreshing shots. There is no beach with sun loungers (which is a huge plus for us, because there are no crowds of Russians)... the bay, or rather a cove, is clean, the entrance is sandy, in places there are smooth stones, but this does not interfere with enjoying the water. The hotel is excellent for a Cypriot 5 star hotel, we recommend it to everyone...

Offering a garden and terrace, Valide Hanim Konak Hotel is located in the north of Nicosia. It offers room service and free Wi-Fi throughout. Everything was amazing, we were greated by the owners as we arrived and were treated to welcome refreshments. The staff showed they were interested in what we had planned and were ready to help whenever we had any questions. And they were always willing to provide recommendations for places to eat and see, which ended up being just amazing choices. And the location is amazing, so close to all points of interest and private parking available. And the rooms, they were just perfect. It feels like a trip back in time, incredible decoration and amazing breakfast choice in the morning. And to top it up, when you learn about the history of the building, you feel even more how charming the whole place is. Would definitely recommend, and if given the chance to go again to Nicosia (Lefkosa) will definitely book there again.

Cyprus is one of the most budget-friendly countries for a holiday during the off-season, when the number of tourists decreases. With the arrival of November, the water in the sea maintains a comfortable temperature, and starting from November, it is already completely warmed up after winter. During this period, you can have a good time in Cyprus without spending too much.

You can ask, when is the best time to go to Cyprus ? It is clear that the ideal option for relaxation is summer. But if you're looking to save money or can't handle the summer heat well, then this post is for you. The island is sunny and warm 340 days a year. This means that you can sunbathe and spend time in good climatic conditions.

Cyprus beaches

The cleanest places in Cyprus are near the city of Ayia Napa, and also near the village of Protaras. The last resort area is designed for a calm, quiet holiday for the whole family. Ayia Napa is a popular destination for young travelers as it offers many ways to have fun and have a good time at night. In the morning, all guests of Cyprus prefer a beach holiday.

Cyprus recreation areas are municipally owned, so you will have to pay money to use sun loungers and umbrellas. The rental cost is high (5 euros), but this does not bother tourists at all. All beaches are cleaned every day, so you don’t have to worry about stepping on glass or seeing a composition of scattered garbage. If you're happy with the mat, you won't have to pay for the beach.

Fig Tree Bay is a unique beach in Protaras that deserves a closer look. Not long ago it was included in the list of top European beaches. A gentle entrance to the water, clean light yellow sand and crystal clear sea. You will also find an excellent beach in the resort area next to the Konnos Bay hotel. Tourists love to spend time here.

A huge cliff hangs directly above the beach arc, and the surrounding scenery is literally breathtaking. The bay is ideally protected from possible winds, so the water here is warm and suitable for swimming all year round. Another favorite beach among tourists is Nissi Beach. Fabulous turquoise water and fine white sand: you can take many unforgettable shots. You will not see such bright turquoise on any other Mediterranean beach.

Nissi Beach also has a significant disadvantage - cold water, especially compared to other nearby resorts. However, the resort area is often chosen for a beach holiday.

Hotels and inns on the island of Cyprus

There are 100% no problems with hotels and inns on the island. And since we are talking about the off-season, the prices will definitely pleasantly surprise you. You can choose between affordable three-star hotels and luxury hotels with their own heated pools.

But even in a three-star hotel room you will have your own small kitchen, with which you can save a significant amount on food. Of course, tourists love to visit Cypriot cafes and restaurants, because the food there is very tasty. Dishes of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine have always been a delicacy.

Cypriot taverns deserve special attention. Cypriots have become famous for their skill in preparing meat and fish dishes. Classic eggplant moussaka, legs of lamb, legendary village salad (we better know it as “Greek”). Many restaurants serve more than two dozen dishes per evening. For 20 euros you can taste delicious meze for two. You will also be pleasantly surprised by the serving sizes. One such serving is enough to keep two people full.

Island attractions

The splendor and luxury of local attractions amazes even seasoned travelers. At the same time, many argue that the island is very boring in terms of memorable places and does not deserve attention. If you spend all your time at the bar and on the beach, then you won’t be able to get to know the local attractions this way.

We recommend renting a vehicle and driving around the island for several days. Here you can find a large number of Orthodox shrines. You can also take part in one of the many excursions to local villages. There, following old technologies, olive oil and wine are extracted.

The most interesting sights are concentrated in the city of Paphos. The most significant of them is the Aphrodite Stone. You can admire the view of the blue lagoon from a yacht that regularly goes on short trips on the open sea.

We hope we have convinced you that it is definitely worth a holiday in Cyprus in the off-season. All that remains is to wish you have a nice rest and more bright impressions!
