Photos taken on Samsung galaxy s7. Mobile phone Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge - “Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is an almost perfect smartphone! Lots of photos taken on a smartphone. What is the difference between galaxy s7 edge and s7. The nuances of the galaxy s7 edge camera.” Capture movements from

And yet again I chose Samsung galaxy, but this time s7 edge. I mainly chose between galaxy s7 and galaxy s7 edge.

Differences between Samsung galaxy s7 edge and s7 because of which I chose s7 edge:

1) Samsung galaxy s7 edge is frameless, it looks more stylish.

2) The battery on the s7 edge is more powerful. The s7 has 3000 ampere hours, and the galaxy s7 edge 3600.

3) The s7 edge has a slightly larger screen.

It was the first 2 factors that were decisive for me.

Appearance of the smartphone Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge:

I have a gold-colored smartphone. The Samsung galaxy s7 edge smartphone looks very cool, stylish and expensive. This is my first frameless smartphone and I really like the way it looks.

💥💥💥Working speed💥💥💥

RAM 4 GB

The Samsung galaxy s7 edge smartphone works very quickly. Doesn't slow down, doesn't freeze. My galaxy s7 edge works faster than my husband's iPhone 7 and faster than my previous galaxy s6. All the applications I use load in less than a minute. Most load in a couple of seconds.

☇☇☇Battery .☇☇☇

Battery capacity 3600 mAh

I charge my smartphone magnetically in the evening before going to bed. The smartphone charges in about an hour and a half. I don’t use my smartphone at night and by morning I usually have 98%. Despite the fact that I use my smartphone very actively: I use the camera, I spend a lot of time on social networks and on IRecommend, I play my favorite game Pokemon go with GPS turned on, the battery charge always lasts until 7-8 pm. By this time I have 15-20% left. The battery life of the s7 edge is much better than the s6.

📷📷📷 Camera📷📷📷

I'll tell you more about the camera. I'll start with the selfie camera.

Front-camera yes, 5 million pixels.

I am very pleased with the quality of the photos taken with the selfie camera in natural light. Photos taken with a selfie camera on the street can even be compared in quality to the main camera of some smartphones. Here are photos taken in different weather:

By the way, when you take a photo with a selfie camera, you can apply the “thin face” filter, in this photo it is applied:

At home, in warm light and in not very good lighting, the camera smoothes out noise, and the photo quality is worse. Here is a photo in the apartment taken in the apartment at 6 pm without light:

Rear camera 12 MP

The situation is approximately the same with the main camera. I really like the photo quality; in low light and in warm light, the camera smoothes out noise very well. The photo seems to be not clear in places.

Here's a photo in warm light:

Here are some more photos:

📱📱📱 SCREEN 📱📱📱

Samsung galaxy s7 edge has a large, bright screen. On this smartphone it is convenient to read books, watch movies, and you can even edit something in Word. The large screen curved on the sides is a huge plus of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge smartphone. I like the color rendering of Samsung better than the iPhone.

Samsung app health works Fine. The pedometer is quite accurate, sometimes it actually counts driving as steps, but rarely, mostly it works well.❌❌❌

After several months of use, I discovered two very minor disadvantages:

1) I would like the camera to smooth out noise less under artificial lighting.

2) It’s not very convenient to carry such a large smartphone with you. But on the other hand, it is very convenient to use a smartphone with a large screen, so this minus is not critical for me.

To compare sizes, I took a photo of my old galaxy s6 and new galaxy s7 edge. My s6 is now in a half-assembled state, but the difference in size is still visible.

If you are thinking whether it is worth changing your galaxy s6 to galaxy s7 edge, then definitely YES. In my opinion, they have a big difference in the selfie camera, battery and memory, due to the ability to insert a microSD card.

I've been using the Samsung galaxy s7 edge for several months now and I really like it so far. For me now it's almost perfect smartphone. I am very glad that I changed my galaxy s6 to a galaxy s7 edge, and not to an IPhone 7, as I originally wanted.

I give the Samsung galaxy s7 edge a solid five and recommend it for purchase!

My other reviews about smartphones:

Especially for photo and video shooting. Historically, Apple smartphones have become very popular among photographers and amateur photographers (and, to be honest, most of the world’s population). But if earlier Apple company created truly unique and functional products, then after getting to know the Galaxy S7 closely, I seriously thought about changing my phone.

I’ll say right away: I myself am also a fan of Apple, I started with ancient desktops, then I was MacBook Pro, then Air. The family has an iPad and iPad mini, and there are five iPhones themselves between three. Therefore, if it weren’t for my close acquaintance with the latest generation of Galaxy, the question of choosing the next smartphone would not have arisen for me. True, it’s not worth it even now: I confess, but I already bought myself an S7. However, enough background, I’ll tell you everything in order.

Backlight, full auto mode shooting

I remember how five or six years ago, when the first system cameras were just appearing, it was customary to call them “DSLR killers.” When I tested new smartphone Samsung and its camera, the evidence of the final death of compacts became undeniable for me. Moreover, as far as I know, in the amateur segment, some manufacturers of cameras with interchangeable lenses are already feeling the pressure of smartphones. And this is not at all surprising.

The first thing I would like to mention is the increase in pixel compared to its predecessor, and not in the number of megapixels, as happens most often! The second is the F1.7 aperture (on the iPhone F2.2), and the third is the use of Dual Pixel technology, which, thanks to the use of a double photodiode, makes focusing as fast and accurate as possible. In addition, in difficult shooting conditions, you can use the Pro mode by manually changing the shutter speed, aperture, ISO and white balance settings.

So, here are the main advantages because of which I bought myself a Galaxy S7 smartphone (without any discounts or bonuses, at the regular market price):

  1. As I already said, the main plus for me is the camera. It's really very cool (just don't compare the quality with full-length DSLRs)!
  2. The next most important point is dust and moisture protection (up to 30 minutes of operation at a depth of 1.5 meters).
  3. Possibility of using two SIM cards or one SIM card and mini SD (up to 200 GB).
  4. A special case with a bayonet mount for Samsung branded lenses (wide-angle and x2-zoom) will soon appear. And with a high probability of development of this line.
  5. Using a smartphone as a platform for glasses virtual reality Gear VR.

Besides, powerful processor, fully customizable desktop tabs, a slightly larger and significantly higher quality display than the iPhone, the presence of a built-in image stabilizer, a more capacious battery and, according to the manufacturer, more durable glass.

Well, now about the minuses: the only thing I found was a easily soiled case, on which fingerprints remain. You can fix it by purchasing a cover.

Strangely, bokeh appears in the photo. Previously it was believed that this was a sign of fast lenses.

Next, I invite everyone to draw their own conclusions based on the photographs received. And in order to completely dispel the doubts of photographers, I will say that photographs can be easily printed in 45x30 cm format, and after certain manipulations in the editor, 60x40 cm prints also look quite decent. 60x40 cm from a smartphone! Samsung Galaxy S7; ISO-200; F/1.7; 1/13c; 4 mm.

An example of a photograph that is obtained at the time of shooting a video

In February 2016, a new one was shown Galaxy flagship S7. Among other advantages, the manufacturers focused on the camera of the new product, which claims to be the best in the world among mobile devices. One of the proprietary features was stated to be support for DualPixel technology, which allows focusing almost instantly.

The 2016 flagship is not only distinguished by its new focusing mechanism. Self software has undergone changes, receiving advanced settings. The matrix is also different from the sensors in other smartphones. Let's try to learn about all the features of the photographic part and its capabilities in order.

Not used in S7 standard application shooting from Android 6, but its own, which is part of the TouchWiz shell. It differs from the stock one with richer settings and a redesigned interface. Exactly the same application was used in the S6, S6 Edge and Note 5. At the top of the window there are buttons for settings, choosing the resolution and aspect ratio of the photo, flash and timer switches, HDR and an effects selection menu. At the bottom there is a focus/shutter button, photo/video and main/front camera switches, and an access icon to the photo gallery.

When selecting modes, you can use preset scenarios: auto, pro, selective focus, panoramic photo, animation, the ability to shoot stream directly in YouTube, slowmo slow motion, 360 degree virtual shooting, food photography and accelerated video shooting.

In "Pro" mode it becomes available manual setting. You can independently control white balance, ISO value, contrast, brightness, and shutter speed.

A distinctive feature of the smartphone, which brings it closer to full-fledged cameras, is the ability to save photos in RAW and JPG simultaneously. The “raw” data from the matrix can be processed in Photoshop or another professional editor. This allows you to adjust colors, sharpness, white balance and other image parameters in a quiet environment on your computer to achieve the highest possible quality.

Specifications

In the Galaxy S7, the photo module is based on a matrix with a resolution of 12 MP. Depending on the production batch and modification (and there are only about 20 of them, for different markets and networks), Bright Cell’s own S5K2L1 or Sony Exmor IMX260 module can be used. They have identical characteristics, and, very likely, are variations of the same model, produced at different enterprises.

Despite the modest 12 MP resolution by 2016 standards, the S7 camera has some advantages. First of all, these are the dimensions of the matrix: 1/2.5" - usually this diagonal corresponds to 16 MP. Due to the large matrix, the pixel was increased to 1.4 microns (instead of the standard 1.12 microns for S6). In addition, each of It is equipped with its own phase detection autofocus sensor, a technology called Dual Pixel, previously only used in DSLR cameras.

The optics in the S7 have also changed positive side. The aperture (aperture) of the lens was improved from f/1.9 to f/1.7. Protection against a trembling hand is provided by a stabilization system. During the day there is practically no benefit from it (the shot is taken with an instantaneous shutter speed), but in the evening the system helps improve clarity. The flash looks somewhat modest: it consists of one diode emitting neutral white light.

There is practically no difference in the quality of photos from different matrices (Samsung and Sony) when viewed on a monitor. If you take photos under different conditions under different Galaxy versions S7, comparison shows minimal difference. It is only noticeable to the naked eye that Samsung sensor It maintains color temperature a little better, and the footage from Sony slightly fades into warm shades in the evening (the footage is slightly yellow). But the Japanese matrix shows slightly better detail, which is noticeable when the scale is increased to 100%. Below are two photographs taken on two Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones with different matrices: at the top is a matrix from Samsung, at the bottom is from Sony.

How the camera shoots in different modes

Daytime landscape photography

S7 in conditions daytime photography shows excellent results. It provides an acceptable level of detail, even despite the reduced number of pixels. With the same zoom scale, photos from the S7 look more “angular” than those from the S6, but the contours of objects do not have the same blurring as their predecessor. It's difficult to immediately say which of the two evils is the lesser, but the footage from the S7 looks more attractive in this comparison.

Photo in good conditions

The dynamic range can be called rich (by the standards of mobile technology); in bright sunlight, the smartphone does not overexpose the sky, but it does not obscure the darker areas of the photo. But it is not ideal if there are enough bright details and light tones in the frame - signs of flare appear. For example, the glare of the sun, even partially falling into the lens, blinds the corner of the frame, filling it with white. This is nitpicking (not shooting into the sun is one of the first rules of a novice photographer), but the fact remains a fact.

Shot with focus on the sky

A photo with the sun in the frame

Shot with focus on a tree

Daytime photography is not the Galaxy S7's trump card at all. And this is not because the matrix is bad (no, it takes excellent pictures). Simply, it is a smartphone camera, but nothing more. It will not be possible to examine every leaf of a tree standing a couple of tens of meters away. Photos from some Meizu, Xiaomi for 200 dollars, or Samsung for 250 will look the same on the monitor screen. Excellent lighting conditions allow any more or less normal matrix to open up, reducing competition to a minimum.

Portrait photography and close-ups

Not long ago, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Pro camera phone, equipped with two matrices. The presentation focused on the magnificent bokeh effect (blurring the background and sharp focus on the foreground). The smartphone was even compared to a professional Canon DSLR for 4 thousand dollars to emphasize the “coolness” of the new product. So, S7 can do the same without any second matrix. Near focus works very clearly, portrait photo is his strong point. Beautifully blurring the background, emphasizing the contrast, is not a problem at all.

Focus on a close subject and blur the background

When shooting portraits from a couple of meters away, the sensor capabilities are enough to absorb most of the reflected light. In such conditions, the sensor practically does not lather the skin on the face and transmits its details. If you use a tripod and set a high shutter speed, the shots will turn out great. The Samsung Galaxy S7 copes well with close-up photography and portraits. In this mode, the benefits become more noticeable.

Shooting at dusk

In low light conditions (100-1000 Lux, such as in cloudy weather or in a building), the advantages of the camera become more obvious. The decent size of the sensor captures more light, making the details of objects appear more clearly. The flash mentioned above, despite only one LED, does its job conscientiously. Objects in the foreground are highlighted with high quality, their contours are smooth and quite distinguishable.

If you don't shoot with the flash turned on automatically, turning it off will make nearby details less clear. But this only applies to weak indoor lighting. At dusk, the lack of sunny color does not interfere. Here lies the main advantage of the Samsung Galaxy S7 over cheaper devices. They are already starting to blur the contours, using noise reduction, and the hero of the review still allows you to highlight “ladders” of pixels in the photo - a side effect of the reduced resolution. That is, if the noise suppression system is connected, it is only superficially, without distorting the details.

When trying to photograph a neighboring house at dusk, the camera produces “something similar to real outlines.” “Soap” appears, the clarity leaves much to be desired, but competitors cannot even do this, showing strange spots when the photo is zoomed in, under which it is difficult to guess the house. Here the rating is a C with a slight minus, compared to full-fledged devices, but 5 in comparison with smartphones.

Night photography

You can get a high-quality shot at night only with a flash, and at close range. No matter how much people praise the Samsung S7 camera, it is just a smartphone, albeit an expensive one. Even a tripod and long exposure times won’t help you photograph the starry sky. A tiny (by DSLR standards) matrix cannot do this. In general, in auto mode at night the camera is of no use, as in comparison with any other smartphone. If you need a photo in the dark, only a DSLR will help.

Another thing is a photo with a flash of nearby elements. The device will be able to take a photo of a group sitting around a fire. It will even (an obvious argument in defense) maintain some kind of balance. The flame will not turn into an incomprehensible yellow spot, but will remain visible, but the faces will not turn into lifeless wax figures. So this is also a positive rating.

On the Samsung Galaxy S7, you can get a passable shot under the light of street lamps. The camera will also capture a sunset or sunrise, and will even be able to convey many shades.

Frontal

In addition to the main matrix, the Samsung S7 also has a good front camera. It is also not simple: with a resolution of 5 MP, the aperture is also f/1.7 (like the main one). This is very good for a front camera. Due to the good light transmission, selfies are very detailed. Some people won’t even like it: if you don’t apply effects, the device “spoils” the portrait. At an ultra-short distance (half a meter), in sunlight, every pimple, every mole becomes visible.

The background of the front camera is a little blurry (the focus is fixed, and is set specifically to the close-up), but within reason. This is approximately how the main matrix of the iPhone 4 shot under similar conditions, even if we do not take into account the lack of autofocus in the hero of the review. The selfie camera also supports automatic HDR.

Video shooting

In terms of video shooting, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is also good. Video recording in 4K at 30 FPS is supported. But this frame rate per second is ensured only in good lighting; at dusk, the frequency decreases.

The video camera performs much better when shooting in FullHD. A frame rate of 60 FPS is enough for smoothness, and the optical stabilizer smoothes out shake when shooting handheld. The sound is recorded in stereo, thanks to the presence of a second microphone. This is not Dolby Digital, but compared to Xiaomi with two microphones, it’s heaven and earth.

If you reduce the resolution to HD 720p, you can shoot slow motion at 240 FPS. When viewed, such videos will be played back 8 times slower than they were filmed. This is not enough to capture the flapping of an insect's wing (for this you need at least 1000 FPS), but it is quite possible to view slower phenomena and processes in detail.

Are there any disadvantages to the camera as for a smartphone?

The main disadvantages of the Samsung Galaxy S7 camera (in comparison with full-size cameras) are highlighted. This is a lack of detail, low light sensitivity at night, imperfect dynamic range. Shooting video in 4K is noticeably inferior to video cameras (the same GoPro budget versions). But what if we compare it with smartphones, which is the Samsung Galaxy S7?

  • Dynamic range. There are no shortcomings here: modest compared to DSLRs (in which the sun remains orange), but cool compared to mobile phones. Only a few can do the same.
  • Detailing. There are no advantages here anymore. On a summer day, the S7 may lose out to a more budget-friendly 16 MP matrix (due to fewer pixels), but in the evening you can still watch “soap” or “ladder”.
  • Focusing. The Samsung S7 definitely has no downsides here. The focus is fast, the contrast between the central composition and the periphery is emphasized perfectly, everyone would like it.
  • Evening shooting. In this plan samsung camera The Galaxy S7 is capable of outperforming its rivals. The increased matrix of pixels and aperture captures light better, there are no downsides.
  • Portrait. And there are no shortcomings in this nomination. Not a DSLR, but among smartphones only the Nokia 808 (which was discontinued 100 years ago) could do something better. This applies to both the main camera and the front camera (in which only models with Sony IMX179 at 8 MP can compete with the S7).

Thus, we can state: the only thing in which the Samsung Galaxy S7 camera may not be the best is the detail of photos taken in bright daylight. Here even a $200 Chinese camera with 16 MP can compare. The only difference is that the percentage of successful photos from the S7 will be higher than that of the Chinese.

The smartphone is not only one of the most powerful on Android, but also takes beautiful photos and videos. Well, we share with you colorful shots taken with its help on the shores of the White Sea and tell you about the camera’s features.

Function works great quick launch cameras ( double click to the “Home” button when the tap is turned off): unlike many similar solutions, this happens really quickly. Just like focusing with the shutter in pairs. Processing power allows.

Even with a very poor level of lighting, the result will be quite digestible, and sometimes simply gorgeous. From the strange: it is unclear where the purple halo came from in photographs of an open flame (in simple terms - a fire). Although, to be fair, it must again be said that in such darkness, few smartphones will even take a photo like that.

Also, one cannot help but traditionally complain about the oversaturation of the picture, which comes at the expense of the naturalness of the colors. And paired with a Super AMOLED display, some frames look really acidic. But to say that it is ugly is to be lying. The only thing we can say here is that this is not entirely fair. Well, even in the S7 Edge model, the rounded edges of the display sometimes interfere with the correct alignment of the frame boundaries and horizon.

Many creative modes correspond to the flagship status, and for the most part they also work perfectly, and most importantly, they are not as whimsical to shooting conditions as is usually the case. The only let down was the panorama: it was not possible to move the camera so smoothly and slowly to avoid ugly cuts in the frame. Although, it seems, he tried.

Unfortunately, our admin does not like panoramas that are 18112 x 2112 and weigh 55 MB, so you can use the original

Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones - flagships model range Samsung with a stylish design and an excellent camera. We will focus on the photography capabilities of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge in our review. We tested both smartphones - Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. They have the same cameras, so pictures and videos are no different. If you are wondering which model to choose, Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge - hold them in your hands in the showroom, think about which model you need: the more affordable and practical S7 or the stylish S7 Edge with a curved screen.

The main difference is the screen. Both models feature an AMOLED touchscreen. The Galaxy S7 has a 5.1-inch screen and the S7 Edge has a 5.5-inch screen. The screen resolution of both smartphones is the same - 2560x1440 pixels per inch.

Read more about Galaxy specifications S7 and S7 Edge read in.

Today we will talk in detail about the camera of the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones. The main camera has a resolution of 12 MP, optics with a constant aperture of F/1.7 and an optical image stabilization system.

Matrix resolution compared to camera Galaxy smartphone S6 has dropped from 16 to 12 megapixels! But at the same time, the S7 began to shoot much better. What's the secret? The secret is a larger matrix size and new system Dual Pixel autofocus. Each point is divided into two independent photodiodes, one of which is responsible for image formation, and the other for fast and accurate phase detection autofocus. The result is that the quality of photos and videos has become noticeably better than that of the S6 model.

The front cameras in the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have a resolution of 5 megapixels and optics with a constant aperture of F/1.7. The resolution is more than enough for Skype conversations and selfies.

How does the camera shoot? Let's see some examples of shooting!

The main advantage of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge is the good quality of shooting in low light conditions. The optical image stabilizer comes in very handy here—the pictures come out clear and without blur.

The camera's exposure meter works accurately, and the balance between shadows and highlights is almost always perfect. In auto white balance mode, the camera makes almost no mistakes, and if this happens, it is very rare. The pictures are pleasing with excellent sharpness over the entire area of the frame, the colors look natural: the camera shoots very truthfully, you look at the photo and remember, yes, that’s exactly how it was in reality. All these advantages allow us to confidently call the Galaxy S7 camera one of the best in modern smartphones.

Pro mode

Experienced amateur photographers will appreciate the Pro mode: you can control all shooting parameters and save images in DNG format. The pictures can then be processed to your taste in graphic editor. Of course, not everyone will take the matter so seriously. But if you're a serious photographer and want your photos to be the best they can be, Pro mode is for you!

Geotagging

Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge allow you to save geotags, this is a very convenient feature, you can always understand where the photo was taken. By default, geotags are enabled, but you can disable them in the settings if you wish.

Portrait photography

We shoot portraits most often! The Galaxy S7 camera copes well with this task. Check out our example. The photo was taken from the Ferris wheel in Sokolniki Park in the evening at sunset. At this time, the light is soft and ideal for taking portraits. Pay attention to the faces, there are no highlights or shadows.

The second example is filming on the veranda in a summer cafe. Look how well the camera captured the foreground and background. The skin colors turned out natural. It’s just that your face is in the shadows, but here Instagram filters will come to the rescue.

Selfie

This photo was taken with the front camera; it has a 5 megapixel matrix. The selfie turned out very well. Pay attention to the result of applying a filter that smoothes the skin of the face. In our example it is very soft. But if desired, smoothing can be adjusted to your taste.

Selective focus

The Selective Focus subject program allows you to effectively blur the background or foreground to suit your taste. Settings can be adjusted after shooting! In the Galaxy S6, this function was already implemented and glitched. Alas, the glitches remain!

Photo taken in normal mode

In this photo the foreground is in focus, the background is blurred

The glitches are clearly visible in this photo. Nezachot!!!

Object shooting

The Galaxy S7 excels at focusing on close objects. We filmed an example in a cafe. Here's the general plan:

And here's a close-up of the cheesecake! By the way, delicious stuff!

Day landscape

Shooting landscapes on the Galaxy S7 is a pleasure! This photo was taken at Chistye Prudy in Moscow. Look at the picture! Wide dynamic range, excellent detail in shadows and highlights.

Here is a photo of the “Friendship of Peoples” fountain at VDNKh. Yes, we were lucky with the weather, but the Galaxy s7 perfectly conveyed the mood of a summer day!

Look at the detail in the photo. And this shot was taken on a smartphone :)

Evening landscape

This shot was taken in Pro mode on a tripod. Since your smartphone has a professional mode, why not take pictures in good quality?

HDR

HDR mode will almost always make your landscape photos more expressive and natural. But there are situations when HDR must be turned on. Look at our example - we photographed the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker at Tverskaya Zastava. The temple was in the shadows; in normal shooting mode, the façade of the temple came out dark.

Turning on HDR is a completely different matter! Now the details in the shadows are better worked out.

The second example is a forest in cloudy weather. It's not easy to take a balanced photo in this kind of lighting. The first frame is shooting in normal mode.

And here is HDR! Amazing. We pressed one button and this is the wonderful result.

Test video

We figured out the photo, Galaxy S7 was able to surprise us! How are things going with the video? Let's check!

Ducks Ultra HD 3840x2160

We photographed these wonderful ducklings on Chistye Prudy in Moscow. Look how cute they are! We recorded this fragment in Ultra HD while holding a smartphone in our hands.

Squirrel, filming in Full HD

And here the shooting is already in Full HD. The quality is of course worse, but for most tasks Full HD is quite enough. Look how brave the squirrel is! Eats nuts straight from the child's hands!

Swans, filming in Full HD

Some scenes look much more impressive on video than in photos! Look at the beautiful white swans that live in Gorky Park in Moscow.

Rock musicians. Turn up the volume!

The Galaxy S7 produces excellent sound. We recorded a performance of street musicians. And they play very well!

Time lapse

The Galaxy S7 is great at capturing time lapses in Full HD resolution. The most effective time-lapses are produced in good weather, when there are white clouds in the sky. Secure the camera motionless and shoot videos for 10 minutes.

Example of time-lapse shooting

DNG processing

As already noted, the Galaxy S7 allows you to shoot in DNG format. See what you can do with a photo by processing it in Lightroom. Of course, the Galaxy S7 is not a professional DSLR. But there are situations when you don’t need to attract attention to yourself, but it’s simply necessary to film the story. Journalists often face this situation. So, with the Galaxy S7 in your hands, you will look like a curious tourist. No one will suspect that you actually have a high-quality camera in your hands that can shoot in RAW format :)

An example of processing DNG from a Galaxy S7 camera in Adobe Lightroom

You can try it yourself! Here are the originals DNG:

Let's summarize the testing results

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge smartphones did an excellent job of taking photos and videos. If you wanted to combine the purchase of a high-quality smartphone and an amateur camera, then the Galaxy S7 is an excellent choice! Buy Galaxy S7 with confidence! Of course, smartphones are not budget ones. Look at the prices! Not cheap. But having bought a gadget, you definitely won’t regret the money spent; the smartphone will delight you with excellent build quality and, of course, pictures and videos in excellent quality!

Among the shortcomings, perhaps, it is worth noting the lack of optical zoom. The Galaxy S7 takes pictures so well that there is a desire to shoot all scenes with it! We’ll also criticize the Selective Focus mode. It's time to eliminate the glitches! Otherwise there is nothing to complain about.
