How to promote a video on YouTube. Step by step diagram

SHARE

Hi all.

Artem Mazur is in touch.

I admit that now on YouTube you can find hundreds of videos devoted to this topic: how and what to do step by step. In this article I would like to tell you exactly my experience and how I do it step by step. Plus some subscribers also asked: How do you do it?

So let's get started.

Look, you made some kind of video. I’ll say right away that each video is shot using one keyword. That is, you don’t need to shoot one video for several keywords. Then you simply won’t be able to view them. You are filming: one video - one key query. That is, if I am now making a video about how to promote a video on YouTube, then, accordingly, this will be the only video I have. I won’t talk here, for example, about how to set up a YouTube channel, how to gain subscribers, and so on. No. I’ll tell you here how to promote a video.

Therefore, our first step is: one video - one keyword. That is, we shot a video, everything is cool, it was processed, everything is there.

Now, how to upload it to YouTube?

The first thing we do is call it a keyword - the one that we shot for this request. That is, if, for example, I have a video dedicated to the topic of promotion on YouTube, then what will I call it?

For example, I'll call it: kak_raskrutit_video_na_youtube.mp4

What is it for?

Again, I don't know why. But having experience with SEO website promotion, I can say that it is promoted better. YouTube, together with Google, will immediately analyze it and establish their credibility.

After we've named our video with a keyword, we take the third step. We simply upload our video. When the download starts, during this process, what do we do? We write the title, that is, the title of our video and description.

How should it be written?

In the title you write a keyword and a text hook to attract attention. The title must contain your keyword. If I post my video, I will call it: “How to promote a video on YouTube. Practical advice» , For example.

I indicate the keyword and also add some kind of postscript so that the person clicks on it. That is, we make a title with our keyword (key phrase).

We do the same with the description. In the description we write text that will attract the user so that it is relevant this request. Those. The description should be easy to read, encourage the user to view it, and contain a keyword.

In addition to the fact that you posted the video, wrote a description, title, you still need to make a cover - video icon. You can just fill it in, but it really doesn’t look very nice. Make a video cover in Photoshop.

How it's done?

You create an image with a resolution of 1280 by 720 px. Next, you just take a screenshot of the video and make some kind of title. When people view your video in recommended, related videos, they will immediately know what your video is about and will be more likely to click. It just really catches your attention and takes only 5 minutes of your time.

That's it - our video starts loading.

After this, no further settings need to be made. Add tags relevant to your keyword, as well as additional text in the description: social media contacts, call to action, etc. This does not affect the ranking of the video.

Next step - We need to promote it everywhere. In order for your video to rank, you need 3 things:

  • activity under this video (i.e. likes, comments);
  • views;
  • backlinks to your video;

If you don't have this, what should you do?

Second - we publish it on a social bookmarking service. Examples of services: BobrDobr, My Place, Memory Bookmarks... This is all social bookmarking. Due to these free services you get free backlinks.

Third, you need get even more backlinks. When I promote a video, I get about three hundred backlinks in the first and second day. Then, when Google sees that so many sites link to this video, it naturally ranks it up. Again, not in the TOP yet.

Where can we get even more backlinks?

We may use some third-party services, such as: Piston Poster, which publishes an announcement of your video in all different social media. In addition to Facebook, Contact, Twitter, there are also many different social networks where you can also get backlinks.

This service is paid, however, you will agree - it is much easier to press one button and the link to your video will be published on all social networks. I use this service and advise you to use it too.

Great. We published our video on our social networks, in social bookmarks, in the Piston Poster service. Next, there is another service. This is a service similar to Piston Poster, but it already posts to Western social networks.

There is a Western service fiverr.com. This is similar to our freelancing service, where they will do anything for you for $5. There are a bunch of different services there. If your English sucks, I'm sorry. Look for a translator or try to translate via Google.

If everything is fine for you, go to this site and write “youtube seo”, for example. And there you will find a lot of freelancers who will make a lot of backlinks. Backlinks aren't just from some crappy sites. No. You choose the artist who will make backlinks from trust sites.

What do trust sites mean? That is, these are the sites that already have authority with Google. These include government sites (.gov) and educational sites (.edu)... You can get backlinks to your video from them.

If you have a subscription base, for example, or some kind of blog, then you sent a video announcement to the mailing list - everything is cool: your video is viewed, commented on, liked.

And if you don’t have a subscription list, if you’re just starting out, then what should you do in this case?

On the same site fiverr.com you can get views, likes and comments. Not some kind of cheat, no. The freelancer will simply publish your video in a visited Facebook group or tweet on Twitter. People will go to your video, and these will already be views.

Let's summarize.

  • You take and shoot one video - one key query.
  • After that, save it on your computer and call it a keyword.
  • When you post a video, use the key video in the title and description.
  • After it has loaded, you post it to all social networks and social bookmarks. If you have a desire, you upload it to the Piston Poster service, which posts on all social networks.
  • Then you upload it to the OnlyWire service, which posts it on all Western social networks. Then you go to the fiverr.com service and order backlinks. This service costs $5. Order links from trusted sites.
  • And after that, from the same site you order activity for the video (likes, comments, views). If you have your own newsletter, great. This point does not need to be done. If you don’t have your own mailing list, a regular audience, blog readers, or anyone, then you order people to promote your video (also for $5).

Accordingly, in total, your video will already reach one of the first positions within one or two days, depending on the keyword. If this keyword is very competitive, then naturally it will not be on the first page. Even maybe not on the second, not on the third, but it will already rise, leaving behind a lot of videos for the same key request.

Keep doing the same thing. You continue to promote the video on various social bookmarks, social networks, and continue to receive backlinks. The more backlinks your video gets, the more Google ranks it and rises higher and higher. This is how you can reach the TOP for any key query.

However, this technology is not new - it is a common SEO technology. Because in the same way, articles on websites, blogs, and any content are promoted to the TOP.

This is not a new technology, everyone knows it, so don’t think that if you did it like this and in 3-4 days your video did not reach the top, or even on the first page, then all this does not work. No. Because people, just like you, watched the video or read an article on this topic and now know how to promote.

Honestly, if you look at how people post videos lately, they don’t really know how to promote themselves. People know, at most, 10 percent of all users who promote their videos on YouTube. Respectively, take this formula, implement and upload each of your videos for a separate key request and promote with each such video.

Leave your results in the comments below.

Did you manage to promote the video?

    Music without copyright for YouTube: does it exist and where can I download it?

    Hello friends! If you have your own channel on YouTube, then you have probably thought about why it could be blocked. If you didn't break the rules or use someone else's music, then you have nothing to worry about. I advise everyone else to check their account on the site. As you may have already guessed,...

Show that you are a real person!! Leave a comment and tell me what you think.

You should know everything about video optimization and so on. I have never written about this because the Internet is already full of articles. It says the same thing, you can't go wrong. I use a key in the title and two keys (minimum) in the description, with one going in the very first sentence, as high as possible to the beginning of the description. I use tags. The double key in the title works, but I use it very rarely, carefully and appropriately, because otherwise it can be considered a violation of the Youtube community principles.

1. Preview.

You should definitely know how to make the right previews. There is absolutely no way without this.

2. Topic.

I only do what is personally interesting to me initially, for free and which does not cause a gag reflex. A simple example: any person who has been hanging out on a forum about cats for three hours every day for several years can easily create his own channel about his favorite cats and keep it alive.

This point is rather personal and relates to my character, because no matter how much I wanted money, I never succeeded in doing what I don’t like and what’s not worth it.

3. Perspective.

We just go to YouTube and select channels from there strictly on the topic that you decided to encroach on. Then we go to socialblade.com and see what results they have now. How long did they walk to get there? How they got there. G Are you ready to repeat this path? Can you handle it?

We determine the maximum in the niche. The more examples of channels, the better. We simply don’t take into account new channels that already have some decent and tempting results within a month, since these are someone’s projects that are receiving traffic (or they were wildly lucky, but you won’t be so lucky). Don’t bother too much with millionaires either, look for strong, growing middle peasants.

And yet, you must understand that the conditional million views per month that the top in your niche has, is not necessarily guaranteed to be yours. And even this “not necessarily” is not so easy to get to.

Subtleties: sometimes the size of a niche can be estimated incorrectly. For example, a channel can get a lot of views from videos with 18+, non-profit (war, death, injury, destruction) or videos that have been deprived of monetization by another media network. One day I thought: yo, I’m the smartest person in this world! It would be nice to make a channel with games about Peppa Pig, just take them and record what happens there. At first glance it seemed that it was very greasy and there was a lot of traffic. At a second glance, it turned out that it is not fat, but slippery, and all such videos are monetized by copyright holders.

Therefore, in order to see whether the rights to monetization have been taken away or not, in source code pages with videos you can find the meta tag meta name=attribution content=BLABBLABLA. Where blablabla is, there is usually either the identifier of the channel, or the affiliate program on which it is located, or the media network that monetizes the video. Sometimes it’s useful to look at supposedly promising millionaires. Surely there is even some plugin for such checks, which I, of course, don’t know about, but you can help and suggest in the comments.

4. Plan.

Okay, we’ve decided on a niche. We've sorted out the competitors. Now the plan works(from the word slave) for the future and this also needs to be decided at the very beginning. For example, you decide to make one video every other day for six months. A successful ending to the six months can be either positive growth dynamics or some good result that at least slightly satisfies your ambitions. In general, I would consider any viewing growth curve that is constantly going up as a plus. Even minimally, but upward.

This plan should be written down in your head or on a piece of paper. For some, this is the same thing, but let’s not talk about sad things. Let's talk about something fun - you won't make any money in the next six months. You will only waste them, as well as your time and energy. The plan won't work if you deviate from it after just a month because "thirty cents a day is a joke and my woman wants to go to restaurants."

With the current channel, for example, I earned ~30$ per month for five months (with positive growth dynamics), in the fifth month I earned $190, in the sixth - $700, in the ninth I earned $250 in a day, etc.

5. Analysis.

Just be sure to analyze your competing channels. Analyze their millionaires. Their preview. Your goal is to do everything better than them. If they do everything perfectly (unlikely), take it in quantity. Or the length of the video. These are two jokers that can always be played on someone else's table.

Newbie channels, compared to the old ones, have one advantage - eagerness and burning in the area of the fifth point. Newbies can pound like hell and push the old guys while they sit and lazily do something automatically, relaxed.

Therefore, your goal is to analyze all your competitors and understand the basic principles of their work ( release frequency, keys, duration, preview). Combine this information on your channel. And do it better.

And when you become a successful old man, always remember that you can be eaten by young people and greyhounds. They will eat it and not choke.

P.S. Bonus, free from the establishment, I want to make it clear key situation. Where to get them, which ones to get, why to get them... The meaning is simple, in fact, I use Wordstat and it is described in point No. 5. You simply analyze and take the keys that the channels of your topic are currently working on. I have never used key selection services, as for me, for YouTube it is complete slag.

What really works is that you go to a competing channel, watch videos for the last month/week, which ones have received the most views during this period. Take these keys. Then you watch the most popular videos on the channel, but only for the last year. Take these keys. You look at whether they have been used over the past month and how they performed. If it’s good, then you take these keys into circulation.

I also used this thing - I made videos on keys that my fat competitors published in live mode. It is advisable to do this on the same day or the next in order to get to their similar sites as quickly as possible... I wanted to write “link profile”, but here it turns out to be “key profile”.

Plus, I try not to get hung up on any one channel or key, but to constantly look for something new that might suit my needs. In the news, on other sites, on the same reddit, etc. The more sources of information you have that can be turned into a watchable video, the better.

When you have popular videos, you can use them to bring even more traffic to your channel.

That seems to be it. Don't subtract, don't add. If I start new channel, then I will act according to the same scheme.

P.P.S. Oh yes, here's another thing. I have never bought any information courses or listened to any seminars. The only information that I perceived from the outside was the principles of video optimization. That is, the initial beginning. Everything else is what I analyzed on my own, sitting in languid long evenings. In addition, I periodically look at Serch in the topic about YouTube, sometimes there is something interesting there, but mostly purely informational noise and the grinding of rumors and the same thing, the same thing, the same thing, day after day. But it should be useful for beginners. Just don't ask for advice there. Better read and analyze. In the same direction, you can read Yttalk, but there is even more water there than on Serch, and it is also in some incomprehensible language; I don’t understand why they don’t write in Russian!

Users who run their channels on the popular video hosting site YouTube do so not only for the sake of a hobby. The main goal of most is income. And you can really make money there. Uses this video service monthly more than a billion people. This is almost a third of all Internet users. If you figure out how to promote a YouTube channel and achieve your goal, you can earn good money on the Internet.

Before considering methods of promoting a YouTube channel for free or for money, it is worth highlighting the basic principles of work:

Free ways to promote your YouTube channel

Many people understand that the more subscribers, the more opportunities the profile owner will have. Therefore, users, especially those who are focused on making money, are looking for working ways to quickly promote a channel on Youtube.

As stated earlier, the primary focus should be on content. Often, authors who publish videos useful for the audience only need to film, edit and post the material, such a profile promotes itself.

To speed up your YouTube channel promotion, you can use the following methods.

Correct and beautiful profile design

To stand out among competitors, it is important to create a unique “face” of your profile and competently present the video material published on it:

User interface allows:

  • Set an avatar. It will be visible when publishing comments, in search results, and in the list of subscriptions. A memorable image, a photo of a blogger or a company logo will increase recognition;
  • Design the cover, i.e. upload a unique banner. It is important that it is combined with the theme of the published videos;
  • Create and optimize playlists. With their help, you can set up convenient navigation by combining thematic videos. This will not only make it easier for users to navigate, but will also encourage them to watch additional videos.
  • Create sections. With their help, you can distribute videos to home page profile in a form that is convenient and attractive to the viewer.
  • Download trailer. The main purpose is to introduce the audience to the topics of the published videos and motivate them to become subscribers.

Correct and attractive design will allow you to receive natural subscribers for free.

Also, to the correct design it is worth adding SEO promotion youtube channel, i.e. creating videos for specific search queries and drawing up a correct optimized description for them. To select keywords, you can use special services Mutagen, Yandex.Wordstat, Key Collector, Google keyword tool.

Regular publication of new video content

Successful free promotion of a Youtube channel also lies in the right strategy. Here it is important to understand the critical points for audience retention, i.e. how many videos should be published so that the audience’s interest is always in a “heated” state. On average, it is considered that two videos per week are enough. But it all depends on the topic, for example, popular bloggers who keep personal diaries publish videos more often and immediately gain a good number of views. When trying to fill your profile with video content, it is important to remember that the priority is not the quantity of material posted, but its quality.

Publishing videos on social networks, forums, blogs

This method is not only an option for video promotion, but also an option for promoting a YouTube channel and recruiting free subscribers. If the material is really interesting and useful, many users not only share it with friends, but also go to the author’s profile to get acquainted with other content.

You can post new videos:

Communicate with viewers and motivate them to action

For a good indicator of behavioral factors, it is important to obtain feedback from subscribers and viewers in the form of likes, comments and subscriptions, this directly affects the promotion of the channel on Youtube.

For this purpose, you can conduct surveys asking you to leave your answers and opinions in the comments under the video. You can also ask your audience to subscribe and like directly in the video. For example, “If you liked this video, please like and subscribe to my channel.” According to statistics, people often respond to such calls.

Youtube channel promotion for money

Mutual PR deals are also effective. To promote your channel, you can ask other YouTubers for help. On EPICSTARS you can do this for free, using the mutual PR deal:

For those who want to promote their video blog for free, you can try working with SMOFast and TurboLiker. These are convenient and understandable services for promoting a YouTube channel for free. On them you can order all the same actions as on paid projects, only payment is made using credits, which the owner will earn for performing various actions ordered by other participants.

To achieve good results, it is better to combine promotion methods. But it is important to remember that artificially boosting behavioral factors can negatively affect the ranking of video content and profile promotion. Particular attention should be paid to the quality of published material and the design of your profile.

If you want to become popular and make money from it, then you need to start promoting a YouTube channel now. YouTube is the most popular video hosting service, which has become a constant source of income for many famous bloggers, streamers and other interesting and enterprising people. But as you know, popularity does not come on its own, it has to be earned.

Preparing the channel for promotion

To quickly promote a YouTube channel from scratch, you need to use paid and free promotion methods in combination. But before you start optimizing and advertising your channel, you need to create and design it correctly.

To create a promising channel you need:

  • Decide on the topic and niche that the channel will occupy on YouTube. Choosing a topic is a very important step. The fact is that in popular and profitable niches it is much more difficult to promote a channel. But if you still manage to do this, then the earnings there will be appropriate. It's best to do what you really understand. And it doesn’t matter whether it’s entertainment, children’s, gaming or scientific content. Passion and dedication always attracts viewers.
  • Watch videos from popular bloggers and come up with your own personal trick. Every popular blogger on YouTube has their own “trick”. This makes the person memorable, which prevents him from being confused with anyone else.
  • Create a memorable image. Creating an image should be focused on the target audience. The closer the presenter is to the viewer, the more attractive he will seem.
  • Shoot several videos using high-quality equipment. Good quality Videos in 2017 are an integral part of the popular channel. Therefore, light, equipment, sound should be at least not perfect quality, but not worse than standard.
  • Before publishing, find out the opinions of friends and acquaintances and bring the image to perfection. The help of friends and acquaintances at first will help to identify all the shortcomings and work on all the weak points. Therefore, you need to try to connect as many people as possible, because in return you can get really valuable advice.

Types of promotion

When the user already has his own account with a small collection of videos, it is not clear what to do next. Wastefully leaking videos that no one watches is a very dubious activity. Therefore, you need to put the camera aside and get busy promoting.

There are two types of channel promotion:

  • paid;
  • free.

The issue of money is always relevant, but to achieve the goal you need to be guided by other characteristics available ways promotion, namely their effectiveness. Otherwise, instead of quickly gaining subscribers, time will be spent on meaningless and useless activities.

Channel promotion – do you need to pay?

Some people sincerely believe that to become popular on YouTube, it is enough to make a spectacular video, post it online, and a new trend is ready. Unfortunately, it's not that simple. Even the most charismatic and ambitious blogger can remain unnoticed.

Advantages paid promotion channel:

  • quick recruitment of “live” subscribers;
  • minimal investment of time and effort;
  • guarantee of results.

Most of the sites and applications that offer free money lie. After all, their main contingent are bots. They, in turn, are of no value to the owner of the YouTube channel.

Proper promotion can be much cheaper if you first take a short course on the basics of Internet marketing. But this takes time. Training includes working with Yandex.Direct and Google Adwords, the basics of SEO optimization, viral marketing and much more. If you plan to make working on the Internet your main field of activity, then such skills and knowledge will not hurt.

Paid promotion methods

If at the start you have at least a small budget that can be spent on promotion, then the chances of professionally promoting your YouTube channel are significantly higher than without it. But you need to invest money wisely, so first you need to familiarize yourself with using existing methods paid channel promotion.

Paid methods include:

  • purchasing subscribers on specialized exchanges;
  • services of freelancers and professional promotion agencies;
  • purchase of advertising.

Each of these methods has its own advantages and disadvantages. But in general, their effectiveness has long been confirmed in practice. Many, without understanding the essence of each of these methods, hastily give money to just anyone, and receive nothing in return. Therefore, it is worth considering them in more detail.

Services for buying subscribers, likes and comments

Buying subscribers is in demand among “newbies” on video hosting. Some sincerely hope that after acquiring a couple of thousand subscribers, the channel will immediately get to the TOP and advertising prices will rise to exorbitant amounts. It should be said right away that this is not so.

No matter how many users are attracted through the exchange, they will not be able to make the channel popular. The fact is that the goal of such subscribers is to get money. They are not interested in the published content, therefore, there is little value from such viewers.

But for a developing channel, a large number of subscribers makes it more attractive to “live” users. It has been noticed that before people start watching a video, they look at how many users are interested in it and how many liked it. And only then do they decide whether it’s worth spending their time watching. Therefore, the larger the channel’s purchased audience, the more “live” users it will attract.

At specialized services you can buy:

  • subscribers;
  • comments.

To promote a channel on YouTube, subscribers alone will not be enough. The number of views and likes are the main parameters for raising a channel to the TOP. And for the video hosting administration, it will be obvious that a large number of subscribers without activity on the channel is the result of cheating. And this, in turn, can lead to their mass write-off and account blocking. Therefore, to create the appearance of real promotion, you will need to not only gain subscribers, but also create imaginary user activity.

You can also see a selection of YouTube promotion services divided into categories on the blog of the service for working with bloggers EPICSTARS.

All operations for purchasing spectators are carried out remotely. The channel owner simply selects the desired package of subscribers (500, 1000, 5000 or more people) and pays for it with bank card or electronic wallet. There are no and cannot be any guarantees other than reviews from previous customers. Therefore, it is important to be vigilant so as not to run into scammers.

To do this, you need to follow some rules:

  • The official website may contain fake reviews, so before purchasing, you need to study the site’s reputation on third-party resources.
  • Before purchasing, you need to analyze sellers' prices.
  • The first costs should be minimal to ensure the quality of the services provided. It is better to buy packages of 100 or 500 subscribers.
  • Exchanges and services that promise to gain subscribers in a couple of hours should be treated with distrust. After all, a sharp increase in subscribers can be a reason to block a YouTube channel.
  • After purchasing, you need to carefully monitor the activity on the channel.

User activity shows the number of subscriptions, unsubscribes, likes and comments left over a certain period of time. If, after purchasing subscribers, the number of subscriptions increased sharply, and a week later gradually decreased by the same number, and during this time not a single like or comment was made, then you should no longer return to the services of the exchange that cheated them.

Professional channel promotion

The services of professionals in the field of Internet promotion can completely save the owner of a YouTube channel from any hassle. You can order full channel promotion either from a special agency or from a freelancer. However, the cost of such services is, to put it mildly, rather high.

The secret of specialists in the field of Internet marketing is a proven and tested promotion strategy, using techniques, competent SEO optimization and correct settings advertising campaigns. To master all these skills, the average user will need more than one month. Therefore, the price for specialist services is appropriate.

When choosing a suitable specialist to whom you can entrust your channel, you should make sure that he uses only “white hat” promotion methods in his work. Otherwise, published videos may be banned, views written off, and the channel even blocked.

YouTube channel advertising

  • On forums and social networks. Of course, you can post videos on forums and social networks for free. Only the owners of communities and forums will remove such “advertising” within a few minutes, so there will be little benefit from this. You can officially promote a channel either through advertising exchanges in social media, or directly through the administrators of the sites of interest.
  • WITH using Google AdWords. Google AdWords is a powerful advertising tool that allows you to publish video ads on YouTube. Advertisements placed in this way are published either on video hosting pages or broadcast during video playback. All the advertiser needs to do is shoot a commercial, determine the budget for the advertising campaign and set the parameters of the target audience.
  • On video blogs of other authors. Many of the popular bloggers themselves offer their PR services for developing YouTube channels. When choosing a suitable person, you need to look at how many subscribers he has, whether there are fake accounts among them, and how many there are. If the majority of the audience of a supposedly popular blogger was recruited by a cheap program, investing in such advertising will be pointless. Bloggers set prices themselves and, as a rule, they depend on the advertising format. This could be adding an advertiser’s video to your favorites, holding a joint competition, a promotional video at the end of a video, or a joint release that is published simultaneously on two channels.

Paid promotion of a channel on YouTube will not necessarily extract the last money from its owner. If you analyze all the available paid methods and combine them with free ones, you can inexpensively and at the same time quickly gain the coveted popularity. Therefore, you should not stop halfway and give up on your intended goal. The sooner you start work, the faster this goal will be achieved.

The first thousand views on YouTube or the first thousand subscribers is always difficult, exciting, and for many it seems like a long time. Therefore, you should first figure out how to promote a channel on YouTube for free, and then add videos. At a minimum, this approach will prevent you from making serious mistakes.

Method One - Create Viral Content

A site can end up in the top search results thanks to a smart SEO, even if the content is, to put it mildly, rather weak. This won’t work with a video: if you artificially “increase” the required number of views, you can still be lowered in the search results by putting downvotes. In addition, employers have long learned to identify such channels. And deception is very harshly punished by YouTube - right up to until the account is completely blocked.

Therefore, the content must be of high quality, causing a natural (!) desire to watch it. A viral video often does not need any additional promotion. On the contrary, it helps draw attention to other projects. But how to shoot such a video is another question. Here you already need to study the niche, the target audience, what is in demand now and why.

Method two - Carefully consider the title, tags and description

Largely because of this point, the advice given above was to first deal with free channel promotion. If you add a video without a description, the chance that almost no one will see it will increase. It is also very important to correctly select appropriate tags and categories for the topic. And don’t forget to create a unique description with keys. The name should describe what is happening as accurately as possible, but not be too complex or long.

Method three - Make the channel unique

Think about the logo, splash screens, annotations... What will it look like? The result should be memorable - in a good way.

By the way, in the annotation you can carefully play with the subscription offer. It is usually much more convenient for the viewer to simply click on the link in the video itself than to search for where they can subscribe to you.

And then he can get distracted, change his mind, forget. And a competent annotation catches you right while watching. Which is very smart: after all, high-quality work evokes vivid emotions, on the wave of which you can subscribe.

Method four - Upload videos as often as possible

If you're going to add one video every month and you're not Lady Gaga, then we have bad news for you... In general, for active promotion you need at least one video every two days. More is better. Users need to be reminded of themselves, because they can easily be taken away by someone more active. It's incredibly easy to get distracted on YouTube.

Method five - Use third-party resources

For some reason, promoting a YouTube channel is often associated with the video hosting site itself. Meanwhile, a huge number of views can be obtained through social networks or a blog.

Let's say you have a page with several thousand subscribers. Do you want a lot of views? Just add a video and write something interesting about it. Often the numbers begin to grow literally before our eyes. The same tactics work with public pages, forums, in general, with any places where you can attract attention and where people frequent.

Method six - Just ask

Surprisingly, this method has become a real discovery for many. Meanwhile, it really gives results: in the video itself, for example, at the end (not so annoying) you can ask them to like you. And if you really liked the video, then tell your friends about you. As a rule, most people don’t mind making one click.

Method seven - Comment on top video bloggers

A significant proportion of subscribers love to exchange opinions on popular videos no less than watch the videos themselves. And the most attention is usually paid to the first comments. Feel free to leave comments - people will read and respond to them, and some will visit your channel.

By the way, you definitely need to respond to comments on your videos. Users like to be noticed. With active communication, you can get several hundred subscribers, which is not bad at the start.

Method eight - Mutual PR

On YouTube you can find a very large number of channels that are similar in topic to yours and agree with webmasters on friendly recommendations and mutual promotion.

On his own channel, the webmaster must go to the “friends” or “interesting” section. This section may have different names. The webmaster must decide on it himself. Links must be provided to these channels.

It is better to negotiate an exchange with channels whose traffic and topics are close to yours.

Method nine - Annotations, tips

Not all channel visitors will watch the video to the end, so in order to increase the share of people who will take targeted actions, use two tools inside the video editor - Hints and Annotations.

Annotations are often used to direct visitors who watch a video to relevant links—for example, links to the main site or links to cost-per-action (CPA) affiliate offers. To add annotations to your videos, you need to go to video editing mode and select the “Annotations” menu item there.

annotation is a typically clickable message that appears within the video and includes some information for the viewer. For example, it can encourage you to watch a new video on a channel or download Additional information Online.

Hints are convenient to use for unobtrusive recommendations to subscribe to the channel, as well as watch additional videos on the topic.

Video bloggers often abuse annotations and cover the entire video with them; naturally, this causes nothing but negativity. For a softer recommendation, it is better to use a new tool in Youtube - Hints.

Method ten - Closing screensavers

At the end of the video, you need to invite the user to do a simple set of actions - use calls to subscribe to the channel, like and leave a comment.
At the end of the clip, you can insert a frame that says that if you liked the video, then you need to click on like, and at the same time show where such a button is located. This will be a good method to promote your YouTube channel.

And, of course, you shouldn’t limit yourself to just one method. Experiment, combine different ways, come up with your own... Youtube loves creative people!
