What is a brick on Android. Android brick restoration. Returning factory firmware

Let's figure out how to flash Android through a computer/laptop if it doesn't want to turn on. In this case, we mean a phone and tablet running Android OS.

This article is suitable for all brands that produce phones on Android 9/8/7/6: Samsung, HTC, Lenovo, LG, Sony, ZTE, Huawei, Meizu, Fly, Alcatel, Xiaomi, Nokia and others. We are not responsible for your actions.

System malfunctions can be so serious that resetting the settings does not fix them. If you are faced with such a situation, then it will be useful to know how to reflash Android to return the phone to working condition.

Bootloader check

The first thing you need to do before flashing Android is to make sure that the problem is of a software nature. Press the Power button: if the phone shows at least some signs of life (clicks, the logo lights up, the robot freezes, Exclamation point), then the bootloader is OK. This means you can flash your smartphone, and it will continue to work.

Even if nothing happens when you press the power button, it’s too early to panic. Connect the device to your computer via USB and press the power button or the combination of “Power” and volume down keys.

If the computer sees the connected phone, it means it can be flashed - the main thing is to know how to do it yourself. If your smartphone does not show any signs of life, take it to a service center. The device probably does not turn on due to hardware problems, the elimination of which requires the intervention of a competent specialist.

Android firmware via computer

If the system is so damaged that it won’t turn on, you will have to reinstall it - in other words, flash the phone through the computer. If the manufacturer has provided for this possibility and developed special software, then there will be no problems.

For example, owners of LG smartphones are lucky: the LG Mobile Support Tool program, which can be downloaded from the equipment manufacturer’s website, will do everything for them.

  1. Install and launch LG Mobile Support Tool.
  2. Install the phone drivers in the “Install USB Driver” section.
  3. Connect your smartphone via USB. Press the power button or the combination “Power + Vol-”. The device should appear in the program window.

Increase

Open the "Advanced Features" section and click "Recover from an update error." The application will do the rest of the work on its own, eliminating problems that prevent Android from working. There is a similar program for Sony Xperia- PC Companion.

Increase

If official application There is no way to flash or restore the system; you can use software from third-party developers. Each brand has its own program:

  • LG - KDZ Updater.
  • Samsung - Odin.
  • HTC - Android SDK Platform Tools.
  • Lenovo - SP Flash Tool.

The listed programs work on the same principle. You connect your phone via USB, download the firmware file for specific model smartphone and install it through the application. After successful installation, Android starts again and works without errors.

Android firmware via Recovery Menu

If a custom Recovery (for example, TWRP or Clockwork Mod) was installed on your phone before problems with the system appeared, then you can flash the device without programs on your computer. However, you will need the computer itself to download the firmware and transfer it to the memory card.

  1. Find the firmware for your phone model and download it to your computer.
  2. Place the file on a memory card and install it in your smartphone. If your smartphone does not support microSD, this method will not work.
  3. Launch Recovery Menu. The combination “Power” + “Vol+” is usually used.
  4. Clean your phone of damaged files by selecting “wipe data/factory reset”.
  5. Click "install zip from sdcard".
  6. Select the firmware file placed on the memory card and confirm the installation.

Increase

After installation is complete, click “Reboot system now” to complete the installation and apply the configuration. After rebooting, Android should start without problems.

Hello, dear friends and blog guests! I write posts less and less due to lack of time! Today I decided to talk about how I struggled for a whole month with restoring the functionality of my tablet. Acer Iconia A3-A10 after turning it into a “brick”.

About everything, as always, in order.

It all started when one day the tablet offered to update the firmware version to a newer one. I updated, and then I noticed one unpleasant thing - the ROOT rights were gone!

For regular user ROOT rights are an empty phrase, but not for me. With their help you can significantly expand the functionality of the tablet, for example, and much more.

The lack of ROOT rights did not give me the slightest peace! Essentially, the tablet turned into a piece of f**king plastic for me.

Naturally, I immediately began looking for a way to obtain ROOT rights. Before updating the firmware, I used the FramaRoot application, with which you can get ROOT rights in two taps - right on the tablet itself! But after updating the firmware this method didn't fit at all.

While surfing the web, I came across a program specifically designed for “rooting” Acer Iconia v0.8.5 tablets. I found it on the foreign forum xda-developers.com.

Delighted with this “happiness,” I immediately began to use it directly - I launched the program, connected the tablet, did everything “according to Feng Shui,” and... in less than two minutes I received a plastic “brick.”

The tablet turned into a “brick” due to the fact that the modified system partition file was not suitable for the updated firmware of the tablet.

All that the tablet was capable of after such an experiment was loading the Acer logo, rebooting and loading the Acer logo again, in other words, loading forever. Scientifically, this phenomenon is called Bootloop.

To be honest, after this I thought that the tablet could only be revived at an authorized service center.

And now in more detail.

Why did it take so long to revive the tablet? Because this miracle of technology has a locked bootloader, so I could not “undermine” the system in any way. But you just needed to overwrite the system partition. This is done using the adb console via the command line Windows string. But here, I repeat, there was a “severe case”.

After feeling sad a little, I continued my search for a way to “unscrew” the tablet. During this time, I learned a lot of new and interesting things about my gadget, and about Android in general.

As a result, I found a separate topic on our forum 4pda.ru, where there were detailed instructions for restoring my particular model.

I was happy, I rubbed my hands together, but, as it turned out, I was too early to rejoice, because the SmartPhone Flash Tool program, downloaded from this forum, produced strange errors.

As it turned out later, there was a crooked version of the program that simply did not want to “catch” my tablet.

Then I decided to try downloading and running other versions of SmartPhone Flash Tool.

In the end, SmartPhone Flash Tool for Acer B1-710 was suitable for my tablet.

And voila! After all the actions taken, I got what I wanted for so long. By the way, thank you very much!

In general, this is such an instructive story. If something similar has happened to you with your gadgets, you are welcome to comment. That's all for today!

Let's look at how to restore Android if it has turned into a brick. Methods for resuscitating Android when it is “bricked”.

Staining is a complete or partial loss of performance Android device. Not a single user who independently flashes a gadget is immune from this situation.

Correcting the consequences of unsuccessful firmware

If the smartphone constantly resets when loading or the logo appears on the screen for 5-10 minutes, but the system does not start, then technically it is not yet a “brick”. Such a device can be quickly restored through the Recovery menu by flashing it again.

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Hold down the Volume Down key and press the Power button to get to the Recovery menu.

You have two options - restore the backup if you made one (this is one of the main requirements for flashing), or re-flash the phone. To start a backup, go to the “Backup and Restore” section and start restoring the previous system state.

To flash the firmware, select the “Install zip from sdcard” section and specify the required file operating system. This method corrects errors that occur when the firmware is incomplete: for example, when the phone turns off while writing files.

The opposite situation is that the firmware starts, but you cannot get into Recovery. This problem can be resolved even easier: you can use the TWRP Manager, ROM Installer or ROM Manager applications to return the recovery console. After installation, these applications determine the smartphone model and independently download the required recovery.

Restoring the "brick"

Let's consider a more complex option, when the smartphone actually turns into a “brick” - neither the system nor the Recovery menu starts. It is also possible to restore it at home: for this you need to use official firmware from the manufacturer. Let's look at the recovery procedure using a Samsung phone as an example:

  • Install on your computer latest version USB drivers from Samsung.
  • Install the latest version of the Odin application.
  • Download the official firmware for your model and country.
  • Turn off your smartphone. Turn it back on by holding down the Volume Down key and the Home button. Wait for the warning to appear (after about 5 seconds).
  • Put your phone into Odin mode by pressing the Volume Up key.
  • Connect your phone to your computer.
  • Launch Odin, click on PDA and point to the tar.md5 file inside the firmware directory
  1. Launch the firmware using the “Start” button and wait until the operation is completed.

Your “brick” will again become a working device, returning to its original state.

Firmware using Flashtool

This method is suitable for Sony phones, but it can be applied to mobile devices from other manufacturers. You will need:

  • The “brick” itself that you want to restore.
  • Official firmware in FTF format.
  • Flashtool program installed on the computer with firmware drivers.

Before starting work, it is advisable to disable the antivirus and firewall to avoid incorrect operation of the Flashtool utility. In addition, when starting to restore the brick, make sure that the phone is fully charged.

  • Turn off your phone.
  • Place the FTF firmware file in the C:\Users\UserName\.flashTool\firmwares folder.
  • Launch Flashtool (32 or 64-bit depending on the OS bit depth).
  • Click the lightning bolt button.
  • Select Flashmode.
  • Indicate in the window the firmware you need, which you previously placed in the “firmwares” folder.

The recovery program will prepare the Android firmware and offer to connect the “brick” to the computer. Press the Volume Down key on your device and connect your phone to your computer.

The Flashtool program must identify the “brick” connected to the computer and run the firmware on it. If the recovery is successful, then at the end of the log you will see the message “Flashing finished”. After this, you can disconnect the phone from the computer and turn it on - Android should start without errors.

Each manufacturer has its own flashing utility, so it’s better to look for recovery instructions for a specific phone model that has turned into a brick. If you cannot return the device to a working condition at home, then all you have to do is contact a service center.

4. Click “Continue” and agree that all data will be deleted

5. Wait a couple of seconds for additional downloads. data and a warning window will appear, where you will also need to confirm your consent to recovery

6. Choose yours Sony device Xperia

There are several reasons why a device running Andorid OS may stop turning on: incorrect flashing, an unsuccessful attempt to acquire ROOT rights, and any actions aimed at changing OS system data. But in most cases all this can be solved by simply flashing it, so I’ll tell you how to flash Android if it doesn’t turn on.

Solution

The problem can be solved if the bootloader is not touched. You can make sure that it is operational by pressing the “Power” button: the display should at least somehow respond. It could be a lying robot, an Android, or just an exclamation mark; all this will show that the problem is in the system, and that means - in 90% of cases - there is nothing wrong.

Note: There were times when the display did not respond at all to being turned on. Then you should connect the device to the PC and try to press the “Power” or “Power” + “Vol–” button: if the computer sees a new device connected, then there is also a chance to flash a dead Android.

Restoring using the manufacturer's program

One of the simple options is to restore the functionality of the gadget through software from the manufacturer. Not everyone has this functionality, but the LG campaign provided this option. To do this you need:

If custom Recovery CWM is installed

I will also show how you can flash a brick Android if you have access to . Let me remind you: to get into it, you need to hold down “Power” + “Volume -”.

If this mode starts, then you should:

Through a custom application for Windows for firmware

Also, if Android does not turn on after flashing the firmware, you can reflash it using one of the unofficial flashers for PCs. Each company has its own program and may have its own steps, but they are all very similar.

  • For LG use KDZ Updater.
  • For Samsung – Odin.
  • For HTC – Android SDK Platform Tools.

Execution steps

  1. Install the required firmware on your PC.
  2. Download the firmware for the desired model.
  3. Launch the program.
  4. Connect the gadget to the PC with a cord and press “Power” + “Vol –”, a new device will appear in the window.
  5. Through the utility, select the file from Android and click “Start”.
  6. Wait until the end of the procedure.

    Hello!
DNS MW7851 with a slot for an sd card, but when entering recovery there is no item in the menu install zip from sd card….. I select apply update from internal sdcard, I get to the internal memory menu. What should I do? The tablet starts up and the DNS sign hangs like a stake. Already with the help of recovery I cleared everything and rebooted it a thousand times.
    Thank you in advance

Hello. Can you run the firmware mode? That is, you need to start the firmware mode (Download), connect the device to the computer and flash it using a program, for example, ODIN. The firmware must be installed using the official service firmware, without root. You tried to root your device and got hemorrhoids, these consequences need to be taken into account before moving on to any risky actions. I hope in the future you have taken this into account and will not experiment again. Regarding firmware, you need to look for them on the w3bsit3-dns.com forum. There are also instructions, drivers and programs for flashing and user reviews. In general, look for the required firmware, switch the device to firmware mode and sew. If you can’t do it yourself, then take it for repair. You simply have no other options.

Hello. Upload the firmware to internal memory devices (if possible). If not, then only flash the firmware using a computer. In this case, you will need to download the official service firmware to your PC, drivers for your device (install on the same PC) and a flashing program. Firmware can be single-file or multi-file. It is best to install a multi-file one, but if there are none, then you can also use a single-file one (in principle, they are no different, only in a multi-file one it is possible to select the firmware of individual components, such as a modem, and so on). As a rule, devices are sewn with the ODIN program. To do this, you need to enter the “Download” mode (firmware mode) on the device being flashed and connect the device to the PC in this mode. The ODIN program should detect your phone as COM1 or COM2... Now you put the firmware into the program (the path to the firmware should be as simple as possible). At the same time, remember that ODIN program must be run with administrator rights. More detailed instructions, drivers and firmware are on the 4PDA forum. Search specifically for your device model. There will be all the necessary information, files, instructions, and so on.

Hello! I have a prestigio brand phone. When I turn it on, a black screen appears and the phone immediately turns off. I have sent it in for repair several times already. The phone will work for 2 weeks at most and then the same thing. Tell me what to do?

    Team V-ANDROIDE 02/09/2016 12:09

Hello. Buy new phone some other brand, for example, Samsung or LG. Such problems practically never happen with these brands. In your case, most likely it's a firmware issue. I would advise you to return to the service center where your phone was repaired and report that 2 weeks have passed and the phone is broken again, what kind of repair is this. Or try to reflash the device yourself. I won’t tell you where to find the firmware, just enter your phone model in a search engine and ask a request, for example, “Download firmware for Prestigio smartphone****” (instead of asterisks, indicate the model). That's it, read on to see what you find.

Hello, expert saviors! Please, help! There is a phone LG L Fino D295. A few months ago the firmware crashed. I asked again. Worked great. BUT after two months it crashed again and I reflashed it again. And today, a perfectly working phone suddenly turned off and won’t turn on again. No response to the on button. Even to connect to a charger or to a computer. The battery works (tested on the same phone). I cleaned the contacts. I installed a working battery, but it doesn't work. An acquaintance (who runs his own small service center for repairing such devices) said that it was necessary to flash it. But how to flash it if even the computer doesn’t see it. That is, the firmware mode does not start on the phone. While holding the volume up button, I connect to the computer via a USB cable. Zero reaction. In Windows Device Manager there was a new device without drivers. I had the following data USB\VID_05C6&PID_9008. I googled it and downloaded the driver. (Called ALKATEL). But still no reaction. Please help me what to do!
P.s: When connecting to another computer, in the task manager in the “Other devices” section there is a new device called “QHSUSB_BULK”. Has ID USB\VID_05C6&PID_9008

Hello. You need to install drivers specifically for your phone on your computer. What you downloaded may not be the drivers for your phone. As a rule, such drivers have the designation “USBdriversLG” or something like that in their names. Try removing everything related to your phone (drivers, programs, connections, etc.) from your computer. And then connect your phone and try to find necessary drivers. If you have a friend who does renovations, why can't you turn to him? It’s difficult to say and decide something remotely. You need to look at the device itself, try different options. It is possible that your phone is beyond repair. According to the symptoms you described, he is “Dead” and nothing can be done. You need to disassemble it, check the tracks and circuits, see if a button is coming off somewhere, or maybe the motherboard is “dead” or something else (maybe the CPU). So you can guess for a very long time. It is best to contact a service center.

Hello. How did you diagnose that your phone has a broken preloader? In general, most likely you will have to reflash the phone. If you don’t know how to “sew” yourself, then take it to a repair shop. I have no other advice for you.

Hello. In general, devices from Smsung are flashed with Samsung help Kies. No drivers are needed for this. But, Kies will only let through the official firmware. I’ll add on my own that Samsung provides quite strong support and you should understand that the original official firmware is much more stable and reliable than third party firmware from left-wing developers, especially, you should not install Cyanogen firmware. Believe my experience, native official firmware for Samsung works most stably, I personally checked this more than once. Well, I can’t help you with finding drivers, sorry. look for it yourself.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06/01/2016 20:53

Hello. If you cannot find the required firmware, then take it for repair, because in your case, as far as I understand from your description of the problem, there is only one thing left to do - reflash it. But, since you cannot find the firmware, then take it for repair. Sorry, but there are no other options. I can’t help you find the firmware, but I don’t have such software.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06/01/2016 20:56

Since you cannot find the required software (firmware), contact the service center for help. I don’t see any other ways to solve your problem other than firmware. Therefore, you simply have no other options. I can't help you in your search required firmware, since I need other data (except for the name of the gadget), also, not all firmware works normally. All this needs to be checked, and for this you need your tablet so that I can personally work with it. I cannot help you with your problem remotely. Therefore, the conclusion is to take it for repair.

I have phone fly evo tech 4, after frequent use of the charger the battery swelled, I noticed this, after it immediately began to discharge, another 2 weeks probably passed and then it turned off and did not charge, then I took out the battery and ordered a new one, it lasted a month, and the phone was lying there intact. After I inserted new battery and put it on charge, it turns on until the charging icon and goes out and continues until I turn it off, but the phone does not charge, I tried leaving it overnight. I charged it with a frog, but it didn’t turn on. I turned on the charger and pressed the power button, then the brand logo appeared and switched off again, when connected to the computer it either saw or didn’t, in an interval of about 2 seconds. Is it possible to do something myself? Or just for repairs?

Philip, I can’t tell you (I just don’t remember), but somehow I accidentally downloaded the “SuperFlash” program. It’s in Chinese, but there is an option to change the language to English. The main thing is that the computer somehow picks up the body. Even usb bulk 9008.

Hello. Did you install the drivers? In order for the computer to be able to properly detect the connected device, drivers must be installed for that very connected device. Without them, the computer will not be able to properly identify the phone (tablet).

    Team V-ANDROIDE 08/10/2016 21:30

Hello. If your device won't charge, it could mean several problems. First, you need to check the battery. The battery controller may have burned out or the battery itself has expired. In this case, the device will not charge and, accordingly, will not turn on. Secondly, you need to check the connector into which you connect Charger. Perhaps the connector cable is frayed or the connector itself is loose and charging simply does not occur due to lack of contact. You need to conduct a visual inspection, try to move the charger connector in the phone connector. You may also need to disassemble the phone and visually inspect the cables. Thirdly, the problem may be in the tablet itself. Although, this is unlikely, since even if the firmware is flashed, the phone should be charging when turned off. It’s also worth checking the charger itself (try charging another device with it), and try charging your phone with a different charger.

Hello. Here is a great article that explains everything -. Most likely, the bootloader or the firmware itself has crashed. It is treated by stitching. If you yourself are afraid or doubt your capabilities, then it is better to immediately bring it in for repair.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 08/10/2016 21:30

Hello. Can you connect your tablet to your PC and see if the screenshots are normal or not? That is, we made a screen (as you described), connected the tablet to the PC and look, if the screen is normal (you can see the screen and all the icons and everything is as it should be), then most likely the cable from the screen is damaged. The second option is that the firmware itself may be buggy. Did you do a factory reset or just tried it? If you haven't done it, then do it. If you did it but it didn’t help, you’ll have to reflash it – (). If you can’t flash it yourself, then take it to repair.

Hello! Asus ZenFone 5 A500KL after normal use began to disable applications and display an android.process.acore error. After that I did full reset settings to factory defaults, but I started experiencing “cyclic loading”. I went into “Recovery mod”, but when I reset to factory settings or when clearing the cache, it tells me that it cannot find the files, and if I just look at the internal memory folders, they are not there at all! The computer also cannot see the internal memory of the phone. What to do? in S.C. carry?

Good afternoon, I have a lg E455. there was a warning for a couple of days google app gaps stopped, I rebooted it and everything was fine until I rebooted it and it didn’t turn on anymore. I tried to do a hard reset and it showed me a dead android. I tried to reflash it, but every time I downloaded the firmware to the phone, the computer stopped seeing it (the phone) and gave an error. I think that maybe it’s not a matter of firmware at all, but what do you think?

Hello. I think that in your case, it’s better to get it repaired straight away. The point is that you can try to flash it. But I won’t give you the exact instructions; you have to look for it on the Internet. Yes, and it will be difficult for you to figure it out. Therefore, it is better to immediately take it for repair.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 08/25/2016 11:15

Hello. The problem may be that the phone needs to be switched to flashing mode. In addition, you need to install drivers for the tablet you want to flash on your computer. How to switch to firmware mode - you need to read the instructions on the Internet (or read the instructions (manual) for the tablet). As a rule, press and hold the Power + Volume up buttons simultaneously until the device reboots. Sometimes you still need the “Add Home” button (but this is already for different devices differently). This scheme does not work the same for all tablets. That is, you try to do this, if it doesn’t work, then you need to look for Instructions on the Internet. I won’t help you remotely with this issue, since I just need to pick up a tablet and try different options. You also download drivers on the Internet.

Hello. Sorry, but I won't give you any advice. On forums, this is how you gather the necessary information bit by bit. Communicate with people, create topics and discuss issues that interest you. There are many different forums. But, most often, I personally use w3bsit3-dns.com.

Good afternoon, I have a Lenovo P780, when I tried to install new firmware, the phone stopped starting. When connected to a computer, the indicator on the phone lights up (as when charging) and immediately goes off. There is not a single hint in the device manager about connecting the phone.

    Sergey 09/06/2016 10:33

Hello. I was flashing LGE730 on CM9, everything seemed to be fine, but after installing the firmware I turn on the phone and the firmware is constantly downloading. Now I can’t go into recovery. The phone constantly hangs at loading the OS, if you turn it off, it immediately turns on and everything is new on loading. What can I do? I've already tried everything.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09/08/2016 11:17

Hello. Do a factory reset - . And you should no longer create root rights, as this greatly affects the stability of work. Please note that you are opening access to system files not only for yourself, but also for applications that can change system configurations, causing various failures, conflicts between software, and so on. All this has an inactive effect on the stability of the system. The firmware may fail and the phone may fail. The result is expensive repairs.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09/08/2016 11:18

Hello. I won’t be able to tell and show you everything remotely. Here you need to clearly demonstrate in order to teach. Therefore, either try to search for video tutorials yourself (maybe articles specifically for your phone), communicate on forums, and so on. But, I do not recommend that you try to flash it yourself, as there is a fairly high risk of completely damaging the phone. I recommend that you contact those who have experience in flashing phones and who can flash your phone. If you don’t know anyone like that, then take it to the repair shop. This will be easier, faster and more profitable, since independent repair attempts usually lead to even more expensive repairs.

Hello. The firmware has crashed. If you know how to flash it yourself, then flash it. You need to flash it using a computer and appropriate software. Only install the official service firmware. If you don’t know how to flash it yourself or it’s not possible, then take it to the service center.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09/08/2016 11:19

Hello. The firmware has crashed. You did the right thing in trying to flash it. But, please clarify, how exactly did you try to download the firmware? You only need to flash it via PC. You can, of course, install custom firmware (flash it through recovery), but I highly do not recommend doing this. It is best to install the official firmware. If you know how to flash it yourself, then flash it. You need to flash it using a computer and appropriate software. Only install the official service firmware. If you don’t know how to flash it yourself or it’s not possible, then take it to the service center.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09/08/2016 11:19

Hello. No. You need to activate the flashing mode. And this is done by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Up (+) button. If the button does not work, then you need to disassemble and clean the contacts or change the button. Maybe the cable has simply come loose, maybe the contacts have oxidized (or become dusty). In general, you need to disassemble the device and repair the button. Only after this should you try to flash it. In your case, I recommend taking it for repair. You yourself are unlikely to be able to repair anything at home. Trying on your own can lead to even bigger problems.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09.21.2016 19:43

Hello. Which connector is not working? I think that even if the service centers don’t want to take it on, then you’re unlikely to be able to do anything on your own. In your case, it's better to buy new gadget(and don't buy cheap Chinese devices). It’s better to pay once, but you will get an excellent gadget that will serve you for a long time and without problems. Believe me, brands are more expensive than others for a reason, there is something to pay for. As a last resort, I can recommend Chinese manufacturers Xiaomi or Meizu. These are two fairly high-quality manufacturers who have not yet managed to raise their prices - this is if you want to save money and at the same time buy a high-quality gadget.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09.21.2016 19:43

Hello. Try to contact a service center (send it in for repair). Since you are unlikely to do anything on your own. If an error pops up. The fact is that you can guess for a long time. Maybe you're trying to install the wrong firmware, maybe the firmware itself is buggy, maybe there's something wrong at the hardware level. There are a lot of options here. It's better to contact a service center.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 09.21.2016 19:43

Hello. I strongly do not recommend installing custom firmware, especially on branded devices (LG, Samsung, etc.). These models have very strong support and official firmware works most stably and efficiently. Therefore, there is only one way out for you - to reflash your LG to the official service firmware, which will work perfectly. And in the future, never even try to install firmware from Cyanogen or from other supporters of firmware business - you will not end up with troubles. Regarding flashing, here is an article -. If you can’t do it yourself, then it’s better to take it to repair.

Hi all! Folks, I have such a problem! The firmware on the Fly IQ 4414 was glitchy, resetting it to factory settings didn’t help, Android was constantly loading, I waited for about an hour and it still didn’t start. I tried to reflash it through Recovery, but an error kept popping up. I tried it through the Flash Tool, the firmware was installed successfully, the phone stopped responding altogether, and did not turn on at all even when the charger was connected. The device seems to be dead, BUT! When trying to connect to a computer, the connection is in VCOM mode. It is flashed via a flash drive without errors, I tried only the official firmware SW 17 and SW18, but the end result is the same (Who has encountered this? What could this be connected with?

Good afternoon, I have a phone LG-E730, after flashing it manually (I have a little experience in flashing and repairing phones), I did everything according to the instructions and everything went smoothly, then when I flashed it, I started turning it on and it starts endlessly in a circle, only the LG brand logo is loaded, and then I haven’t tried it, I reinstalled newer versions of the firmware, or somehow fixed it because it was already installed, nothing helps, please help!!

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06.10.2016 21:53

Hello. You did something wrong, which caused the firmware bootloader to crash (or the firmware itself was deleted). In your case, you will have to flash your phone. The firmware must be installed from the official service firmware. If you cannot find the firmware yourself or are afraid to flash it, then it is better to immediately take it for repair.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06.10.2016 21:57

Hello. No. Just save the photo to your computer or flash drive. Flash the phone, and then put the photos (from a PC or flash drive) back into the phone's memory. Everything is obvious and quite simple. And regarding your question - at the time of flashing the firmware, the entire internal memory of the device is formatted and rewritten down to file system. Therefore, absolutely all information is deleted.

Hello. In any case, you need to enter the menu for flashing or the recovery menu (if you are flashing files in the root of the memory). So first you will have to repair the volume buttons, and only then try to flash it. If you can’t do it yourself, then there’s only one way out – take it to a repair shop. I don't see any other options.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06.10.2016 21:58

Hello. Of course, the phone won't turn on. You have completely formatted the memory, removing absolutely everything, including the firmware. Your task is to put the phone into mode for flashing via a computer or enter recovery. To get started, check out this article -. Here general information about flashing options. If you can’t switch the phone to the desired mode (recovery or “Dowload” mode), then take it in for repair, since you won’t be able to flash the phone any other way.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 06.10.2016 21:58

"Hello. Where and how do you go? Please clarify your question. How to enter recovery mode on your tablet? Try this: 1. Turn off the tablet. At the same time, make sure that the battery is fully charged or connect the tablet to the network.
    2. Go to Recovery mode by pressing a combination of certain buttons. Since different tablet manufacturers offer different hotkey combinations, I will give a few of the most common key combinations to enter the recovery menu:
    Simultaneously hold down both the “volume” keys and the “power” key;
    simultaneously pressing one of the “volume” keys and the “power” key;
simultaneously hold down one of the volume buttons, the “Home” button and the Power button (the button to turn on the device).
The buttons are held until the recovery mode appears on the display. If you do everything correctly, you will go into recovery mode. I repeat once again - make sure that the battery is charged at least 75%.

Hello. I don’t even know how to help. I can’t really tell you anything remotely. Even if the firmware does not become available. I don't think it's worth wasting any more time and effort. Moreover, an independent attempt to flash the device led to even greater problems. It is better to immediately take it for repair if it is still repairable. Perhaps you need to flash the recovery menu first. If you flashed through recovery, please clarify, did you flash the recovery menu itself (it changed - that is, after flashing the menu itself changed its design)? If yes, then first, you need to return the recovery to its original state, and then try to install the firmware itself.

    Team V-ANDROIDE 10/19/2016 20:09

Hello. Did you install native or custom firmware? The fact is that custom firmware is usually flashed along with the recovery menu. In this case, there may be various failures. Try to find the official service firmware and install it. Moreover, you need to flash it through a PC and preferably with multi-file firmware (if there is no such firmware, then single-file firmware, but still through a PC). Even if the official service firmware does not work, then take it in for repair. I have no other advice. Perhaps the problem is at the hardware level. It might be worth trying to format the internal memory. But you need to be extremely careful with this.

Hello! I have a Samsung galaxy note 2 gt-n7100 I did a restore and reset through the settings, the phone turned off and now does not turn on, it only shows the teamwin splash screen, blinks, blinks, and so on endlessly. I'm trying to reflash it via Odin, but it doesn't work. Help!!!

Hello. These are Chinese characteristics. You can try using the Flash Tool to try to reflash the preloader. Moreover, you can take it from another device with the same chip (CPU). Here you can read the forums yourself. Better yet, take it to a service center.

    V-ANDROIDE Team 11/17/2016 10:52

Hello. It is possible that you just need to put the phone into firmware mode (Download). In this case, you need to install the appropriate driver on your computer so that the system can recognize the phone. If the computer still refuses to see the phone, then it is possible that the problem is more serious. In this case, you need to flash the recovery menu, and perhaps change the preloader. Preloader is a firmware that launches the “Download” system (I don’t know how to explain it so that it would be clear). In general, you need a truly experienced technician who can resuscitate your phone. Try contacting another service center or surfing the forums. There is plenty of information on the Internet.

    V-ANDROIDE Team 11/17/2016 10:53

Hello. The bootloader file and, most likely, the firmware itself were damaged. Therefore, you will have to reflash your tablet. If you decide to try to flash it yourself, then first read this article -. If I'm not mistaken, then your tablet is flashed through Flash program Tool. If you can’t flash it yourself or are afraid, then take it to the service center.

Attention, the question is, will anything happen to the phone when flashing the firmware with a damaged cable, and charging goes on without interruptions and it charges as before, the phone is Samsung Galaxy Note 3 NEO (SM-N7505), the cable is original, it’s 3 years old (like phone)

Thank you very much, I brought my body (Lg L65\ d285 dual, Android 4.4.2) back to life using the LG Mobile Support Tool program. After unmeasurable removal system file the body refused to launch anything, the reboot aggravated the situation to the endless launch of the brick. Hard reset did not help (including the body, pressed vol - and power, after the logo appeared, released power for one second and pressed it again, the standard reseta menu appeared. After YES twice, he deleted something there and refused to install it and again the infinity “Lg, life is Good.” Panic !! There was no desire to reflash. Having installed the LG Mobile Support Tool application, I followed the instructions. But here there is a slight deviation. By connecting the brick to the computer, it is charging, I start it as it was said through power + Vol -, the program does not see the body, I launched it in the usual way, thereby launching it. “endless download” the program saw it and began downloading the software onto the body and installing it, not paying attention to the eternal reboot, everything was successful). Thanks again for the post, it really helped, otherwise it would have been just the firmware((

Hello. Help me understand what happened to the Lenovo a328 phone? During normal operation of the phone, errors from absolutely all applications popped up with messages like “an error occurred in the Mail application,” and so on with all applications. While I close the errors by clicking OK, they pop up again, and so on in a circle. Resetting to factory settings does not help. Resetting with or without archiving does not help. Applications are not deleted! A hard reset doesn’t help either, everything is in place, everything has errors that can be closed forever. My husband tried to reflash it, but now it won’t turn on at all. We did not switch to flashing mode; we installed the firmware when connecting via USB. So what's now? Where do the errors in absolutely all applications come from? Thanks for the answer.

Hello everyone, my husband encountered a problem: megaphone login + took a long time to load (about 3 minutes), after loading, not a single application worked, errors popped up. I tried to reset it to factory settings - it gave me the error E: Unable mount ‘/cache’ After that it stopped loading altogether. I tried to reflash it via FT, it supposedly worked but there was no effect. It turned out that when connecting via USB to a computer, the connection periodically (about 2 seconds) is lost and reappears. It doesn't matter whether you connect it with a battery or without it. (The smartphone appears and disappears in the device manager, and so on in a circle.) Accordingly, it is not possible to flash it. What can you do about it?

  9. Yuri 07/17/2017 10:52

Hello, friends!! The phone with the problem does not turn on, does not charge. I checked the battery was discharged, charged it with a frog to 3.7, no reaction. I'm trying to flash with the official firmware, I sewed with all the jackdaws, the phone was determined by the flash tool as a preloader, the firmware went fine after the jackdaw in the circle was completed, I switched off, I juggled the battery, the phone turned on but stopped at the logo, when I connected the LBP, the consumption was 300 mAp. I tried to flash the format + dovload, the firmware passed the norm . but the phone stopped showing signs of life. I flash the download again, the firmware passes, but the phone does not turn on

Hello. Samsung Galaxy S 4 mini. During the day the OK application froze a little. In the evening, when I tried to open the vk application, the error “application has stopped, send a report” popped up. I rebooted the phone and when I opened the application again, a similar error occurred. I reboot again, and a window opens almost full screen “Google services have stopped, send a report” I press cancel, the window disappears and appears again. And so on ad infinitum. I reboot again, the “Android update” window appears, although I did not allow or launch any updates. After that it freezes, the screen goes dark and it won’t turn on again. When you press the power there is a vibration and nothing more. When you press power + home + volume key - downloading opens. We completely remove the consequences of unsuccessful firmware

Reviving your phone/tablet via Recovery

If the phone is still on, turn it off. Next, hold down the volume button and the power button at the same time. After this procedure, the smartphone will open double recovery menu. Two options will be presented:

  • Restore the backup (this point is the main requirement for the firmware; if the smartphone was flashed, then the backup was restored). Select the early position of your system, then the backup will start in Backup and Restore.
  • Chapter Install zip from sd card allows you to start the firmware installation process. At this point you need to specify the exact path to the archive with the firmware. This option deals with system recovery. Especially if the phone was turned off during the installation of important files.
