Everything about data backup and recovery. How to restore iPhone and iPad from iCloud backup and iTunes How to restore a backup using a standard tool

In one of the recent articles on the site, we, friends, looked at a method Windows recovery from a backup to another computer using software Acronis. And to adapt the operating system to the new hardware, they used . In this article we will again talk about transferring the operating system to another PC or laptop, and again about Universal Restore technology, but only from a different developer company - AOMEI. So, how to preserve the established system when “moving” to another hardware? Below, using AOMEI Backupper tools, we will create a backup of the current Windows, deploy it on another computer and apply Universal Restore technology.

About technology

AOMEI Universal Restore is a technology the essence of which is to unlink components drivers during the Windows recovery stage. Designed for:

Deploying the system on many corporate devices;

Replacement of individual components that may cause blue screen death (usually motherboards, processors, RAM);

Transferring a working system - with settings, programs, profile and personal data - to another computer.

Universal Restore from AOMEI is simpler than its counterpart from Acronis. While the latter is a mechanism for installing drivers for new components, AOMEI's Universal Restore only provides a reset of the drivers of the restored one. backup copy operating system. And Windows, in theory, should install everything it needs when it first starts. Which developer's technology is better? In most cases, you can get by using the simplified Universal Restore from AOMEI. But Acronis’ technology still has a better chance of launching a system restored from a non-native backup in some cases. Due to the fact that Acronis Universal Restore can implement drivers up to Windows startup, it can be transferred between devices with different controllers hard drives. And, as you know, when changing such controllers, the system has not yet learned to change drivers without reinstalling.

  • Note : friends, neither the Universal Restore technology from AOMEI, nor that from Acronis, nor the standard utility for decoupling Windows from hardware Sysprep will help if the operating system needs to be transferred from an MBR disk to a GPT disk and vice versa. Since this question lies in the area of disk space layout and affects aspects of system boot.

AOMEI Universal Restore is available in the paid editions of AOMEI Backupper – Professional, Server and Technician.

https://www.backup-utility.com/downloads.html

But, friends, trials are not suitable for using Universal Restore; you will need a full-featured edition of one of these releases. I will be working with AOMEI Backupper Professional. By the way, you can Russify the program. Inside AOMEI Backupper Professional we will create bootable media. And with his participation we will carry out the tasks set in the article.

Creating bootable media

Go to the “Utilities” section of the program. Click on “Create bootable media”.

Select the WinPE environment.

We select the media type depending on the BIOS mode - UEFI or regular.

We choose how to create the media - burn it to an optical disc, to a flash drive, or save it to ISO image. Here, friends, please note that you can add drivers to the media software, for example, for USB 3.0 ports or for the network, if you use network storage to store the backup copy.

Backup on the source computer

You can back up Windows on the source computer either using the installed AOMEI Backupper program or from bootable media. But the latter method takes a little less time due to the full transfer of the speed potential of data recording by hard drives to the backup process. Well, let's get started. We connect to the source computer from which Windows needs to be transferred a capacious flash drive, USB-HDD, or other type of storage device. If both the source and target computers are PC builds, the backup can be stored on the internal hard drive of the former. And then, while restoring the backup, connect this HDD to the second, target computer. Friends, who do not know how to connect internal hard disks PC, see this article.

Loading source computer from AOMEI Backupper media, if a backup method using it is selected. Let's create a new backup.

Click “System Backup”.

We indicate the path to the backup storage - to a flash drive, internal, external or network drives. Important: the path must be either the root of the disk or folders with names in Latin.

Let's start creating a backup.

Restoring Windows on the target computer

We confirm AOMEI's guess that a backup copy of the operating system has been selected.

We live in an era electronic media. All our photos, music, important documents now have electronic format and are stored in storage memory. On the one hand, this is very convenient, on the other hand, one wrong click and all files will disappear in an instant.

The good news is that you can still recover data, the bad news is that you will have to spend time and nerves if you don’t want to spend money and contact a specialist. The difficulty of recovering files depends on where exactly they were located - in the phone memory or on the SD card. Let's try to figure out how to recover data on Android. different ways.

Preparation

You can erase the necessary files in any random way, for example, if, without thinking, you reset to factory settings or delete the wrong files from the manager. Another option is flashing the gadget.

It doesn’t matter how the problem occurred, the main thing is to always remember the basic rule: if files are accidentally deleted, before restoring data on Android, try to use the device as little as possible. The fact is that if there are other files on the drive, it will no longer be possible to return the old ones.

If the SD card is cleared

So, if data loss occurred from a flash card, getting back what was lost will not be difficult. All you need is a computer and, in fact, an SD card.

The first thing to do is download special program, of which there are a great many on the Internet. But it is better if it is a free utility, such as Recuva or TestDisk.

All that remains is to insert the memory card into the computer and scan it through installed program. If everything is done correctly, the data should be restored. Do not forget to save the saved files after you have succeeded in restoring data on Android.

Is there life after a hard reset?

Often, users, finding no other way out, reset their phone to factory settings. In this case, the SD card remains untouched, that is, all files on the memory card are saved, but the phone’s memory is completely erased.

For those who are wondering how to restore a data reset on Android after hard reset, the answer is simple: the same third-party utilities will help. The problem is that the file recovery program may not support specific model phone. Therefore, it makes sense to try the free version first. List of programs that can recover deleted data on Android - both on the phone and on the tablet:

  • EaseUS MobiSaver;
  • iSkySoft Android Data Recovery;
  • Wondershare Dr.Fone;
  • Recovery;
  • 7-Data recovery.

The operating principle of these utilities is approximately the same. If you strictly follow all the instructions, even a person who has no programming skills will be able to solve the problem.

How to extract phone memory data using a computer?

Since data deletion is mainly the user's fault, naturally, no amount of insurance or warranty service will solve your problem. You will have to look for a way out yourself and learn a lesson from what happened for the future and save all important data. So, the order of actions:

  1. The client downloads the necessary utility to his computer and installs it.
  2. The smartphone or tablet is connected to the PC using a USB cable.
  3. Perform a deep data scan.

Unfortunately, if you use free version program, you will only be able to view the files that were found. But in order to pull them out and save them, you will have to buy a licensed version. In principle, this is quite fair, the client sees what the program is capable of, whether it is compatible with the given phone, and only then pays for the service.

What is a backup?

If you have files on your phone that you really need and you are afraid of losing them, it would be more advisable to periodically transfer them to your PC for safekeeping. But you must admit, it is impossible to manually transfer some specific phone settings, for example SMS correspondence, data phone book or special smartphone settings. In this case, a backup system will help.

First, turn off the phone and then simultaneously press the power and sound buttons. In the window that opens engineering menu you need to click on the backup and restore tab and then backup. The copied phone data will be saved in the memory of the flash card and can be transferred to the PC at any time.

Now, when you once again ask yourself the question of how to recover data from Android after accidental erasing, just use the restore tab in the same menu.

Long live Google services!

Usually, all gadgets, be it a phone or a tablet, based on Android, are synchronized with a Google account. If you logged in to your device using account Google, and synchronization is enabled in the settings, restoring Android without data loss will not be difficult.

If the user has previously enabled synchronization, all that needs to be done is to log into the Google Play application using your username and password. The following will be automatically downloaded:

  • all contact information (addresses, phone numbers, names);
  • application data;
  • photos and videos saved on Google Drive.

In cases where there is no Google account or synchronization has not been carried out, unfortunately, it will not be possible to restore data on Android using a backup.

How to get back previously installed apps

If for any reason you deleted mobile applications, which you now want to return back, it’s very easy to do. First you need to go to Google Play using your account. In the upper left corner you can see three horizontal lines, when you click on them, it opens personal section. Next, you need to select the “My applications and games” tab. In the list that opens, select the applications that interest you and reinstall them on your smartphone.

If you want to return a paid application that you have already paid for, you just need to reinstall it. As usual, such applications are linked to a Google account and do not require re-payment. If the app you need isn't listed, it's possible that you're signed in with a different account. Another reason for the app's absence is its complete removal from the store for all users.

GT Recovery for Android: if you don’t have a computer at hand

Let's assume the user has an account Google posts no computer either. What to do then? How to recover data on an Android phone? Even in this case, there is a way out, although you will have to tinker a little longer. The main thing here is the presence of good mobile internet and great patience.

You can solve this difficult problem using the GT Recovery for Android program. This application can be found on Google Play. At the time of writing, the program is provided free of charge and, according to numerous positive reviews, is one of the best of its kind. The only negative side of this program is that it requires root rights.

First you need to download and install the application on your smartphone or tablet. Next, in the window that opens, indicate which applications need to be found and restored, and begin scanning.

At this stage, be patient, the scanning process can take up to 30 minutes, depending on the size of the phone. Once the scanning is completed, a list of all found files will appear on the screen. Select the required ones and click Next.

All that remains is to specify the path to save. Please note that contacts will be saved in vcf format, so you'll have to go to your address book and import them there from internal memory.

Prevention measures

After you have succeeded in restoring application data on Android, it’s time to think about how not to step on the same rake again. We have already written about what a backup is and why it is needed. Don’t neglect to back up all your important files; this habit will help you save time and money in the future.

To store valuable files, you can use cloud storage from any service. The capacity of such storages can reach up to 36 TB, and most of them provide their services completely free of charge. Thus, if a problem suddenly occurs and all your files are deleted from your phone or flash card, you can always easily and quickly return their backup copies.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, no one is immune from such a nuisance as accidentally deleting important files. For example, the disappearance of the first photographs of your baby or documents from important information, sent the day before by the employer, can always cause panic.

The main thing here is to calm down and try not to clog up your memory with new files, otherwise restoring lost data will be problematic. If there was no initial backup, but third party applications did not help you cope with the problem yourself, you will have to contact the service center for more qualified help.

Happens automatically, once a day. KOMTET offers an additional option - user backup and data recovery. The client can create backups independently using the hosting Control Panel (the option depends on the tariff).

    Note : The overwrite mode when restoring data means that all objects will be restored from the backup copy, regardless of whether they are in the system at the time of restoration. Overwrite mode works as follows:

    • If the object or settings from the backup file are not in Parallels Plesk Panel, they will be created and installed in Parallels Plesk Panel.
    • If an object or settings from a backup file is present in Parallels Plesk Panel, then the object or settings from the backup will replace the corresponding object or settings present in Parallels Plesk Panel.
    • If an object or settings are present in Parallels Plesk Panel, but not in the backup file, then the object or settings present in Parallels Plesk Panel will not be changed.

You can select the path for the backup database, for example, in httpsdocs (the root is not writable):
/home/vhosts/your_domain/httpsdocs/backup

* When this option is enabled, the domain will be unblocked within an hour. Not recommended for use, because If there are warnings during the archiving process, automatic unlocking may not occur.

Please note that user backups created by the Client are included in the disk quota (disk space). System backups are not included in the quota.
