Lenovo a 6000 official firmware 4pda. Lenovo A6000 review: inexpensive multimedia Android smartphone. The screen of a mobile device is characterized by its technology, resolution, pixel density, diagonal length, color depth, etc.

Lenovo produces a wide variety of devices suitable for buyers from different segments: from budget gadgets to flagships with interesting functionality. And it is worth noting that the company releases new devices with enviable consistency. Today in the review we will talk about a smartphone in the budget rather than mid-price segment - Lenovo A6000. And tomorrow we will release a review of a 100% average product - Lenovo A7000. But enough beating around the bush, let's get to the review.

Equipment

The device arrived to us in the standard Lenovo packaging: a box made of white thick cardboard, on the front there is an image of the smartphone itself, and on the back there is information about it.

In addition to the smartphone itself, the package includes a USB cable, a power supply, a headset, a film for the screen designed to protect it from minor damage, a plastic case and accompanying documentation. In my opinion, it’s not bad; the company doesn’t skimp on small but nice features, always providing a free case for your smartphone.

Spring view

The Lenovo A6000 body is made entirely of plastic. On the front side there is a screen covered protective glass. The display frames are small. Above the screen is the company logo, front camera lens, grille-covered earpiece, and light and proximity sensors.
At the bottom, according to the standard, there are three touch keys: “menu”, “home” and “back”. The lack of backlight is disappointing, but we are already used to it.

The removable back panel has a textured surface. On top is the main camera lens, LED flash and microphone. At the bottom of the rear panel there are the main stereo speakers and the inscription “DOLBY”.

At the top end of the Lenovo A6000 case there is a 3.5 mm headset jack and a USB connector.
At the bottom there is a speaker.

The control keys are located on the right side: volume control and power on/off buttons.

Under the panel there is a removable battery, slots for SIM cards and SD cards.

With dimensions of 140x70x8.2, the device weighs 128 grams - not bad for a smartphone with a 5-inch screen.

The build quality is good: the parts of the smartphone fit perfectly together, the panels do not creak or bend under compression and pressure.

Official renders:

Display

Lenovo A6000 has a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels and a pixel density of 294 ppi, made using IPS technology, which provides the display with good color reproduction and rich colors.

The brightness level is sufficient for comfortable viewing of information in bright sunlight. The minimum brightness level is great for reading in the dark - I didn't have any unpleasant sensations. There is the possibility of automatic brightness adjustment.

The viewing angles are wide, which is typical for such displays. There is support for multi-touch up to five simultaneous touches.

The only obvious disadvantage is the lack of an oleophobic coating. The screen is very easily soiled, all traces of touches remain on it.

Performance

The smartphone received a quad-core Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 processor with a clock frequency of 1.2 GHz; GPU Adreno 306, 1 GB random access memory and 8 GB built-in.

Despite the fact that the smartphone does not use the latest graphics processor, Adreno 306 ensures smooth operation of the interface and trouble-free launch of applications: the menu opens smoothly, applications launch quickly, instantly responding to calls.

Videos supported high resolution different formats.

Software

Lenovo A6000 runs under Android control 4.4.4. with the proprietary Vibe UI shell.

Everything is pretty standard: most applications are sorted into folders: Google set, Yandex, Guvera Music, social media, games, work applications, DOit set, etc.

In the settings you can choose one of two themes, widgets, animation settings and, of course, desktop wallpaper.

Call top panel will open you quick settings such as wi-fi, screen rotation lock, bluetooth, etc.

The interface is intuitive and practically no different from the stock one in terms of user interaction.

Multimedia

So, in general, we come to the main point in this review. After all, Lenovo A6000 is positioned as a budget smartphone with excellent multimedia capabilities.

Let's start in order.

  1. To view photos on a smartphone, a standard application is used - gallery - nothing surprising.
  2. There is a voice recorder and an FM radio that works with headphones that act as an antenna - everything is the same as everyone else's.
  3. Music in MP3 and FLAC formats starts and plays without any problems. For audio, there is a separate Dolby app where you can set different audio presets. It is worth noting that the included headphones do not convey the proper music sound quality that a smartphone provides. I strongly recommend using some of your own third-party headphones to listen to music - in the test we used Audio Technica and Philips that we had previously tested.
  4. What does Dolby offer us? Firstly, these are presets for movies/music/games and voices that differ from each other. You can create different profiles and customize them to your taste. Secondly, this is the Dolby Digital Plus sound enhancement function, which significantly improves sound quality, which cannot but please even the most inveterate music lovers. And thirdly, this is the sound quality of the speakers: despite their not the best location, it is worth noting that the sound is indeed better and louder than that of most smartphones, but in my opinion it does not reach truly high-quality sound.
  5. The speaker did not disappoint, the sound was clear and distinct, without interference.
Summarizing all of the above, we can say that Dolby Digital Plus and two speakers do not elevate a smartphone to the title of a multimedia device; even for this money, you can find better devices in this regard on the market.

Connection

The Lenovo A6000 supports two microSIM cards. There is only one radio module, so one of the cards will be the main one, while the second will be in “standby” mode. One of the cards works in all modes including LTE, the second - only in 2G mode.

Supports 2G, 3G, 4G and LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0.

GPS/GLONASS is used as a navigator. A “cold” start takes just under a minute, and A-GPS reduces search time to a few seconds.

Battery

The smartphone received a removable battery with a capacity of 2300 mAh.
The included power supply will charge the smartphone in about two hours.

The device lasted almost 9 hours in our test at 50% brightness level. All this time the backlight, browser and Wi-Fi worked.

That is, the battery capacity should easily be enough for a day without recharging for moderate use, and a special energy-saving mode guarantees the use of the smartphone for several days.

Camera

Lenovo A6000 is equipped with two cameras: a main 8 MP and a front 2 MP. The main camera, among other things, has autofocus and an LED flash.

The camera interface is simple and intuitive. In the settings you can find different modes/filters/effects, etc.

Photos taken with the main camera are of average quality. Even in daylight, noise, color rendering problems and blurring are noticeable.

Photos taken indoors and in the dark seemed no better to us.
The 2 MP front camera is enough for video chats and inconspicuous selfies.

The funniest thing is, of course, that the case that comes with the device produces artifacts in the photo when using the flash. A similar problem is observed with the A7000, a review of which will follow this one. How it was possible to allow such a failure with the accessory included in the kit is unclear.

Let's sum it up

Lenovo A6000 is a good smartphone with a set of good characteristics, however, it seems to me that the device does not meet the stated multimedia capabilities. Of course, the smartphone has other sides - support for two SIM cards and LTE, two speakers and a good price with autonomy completely offset the mediocre camera and the quality of these same speakers.

Lenovo A6000 is a modern smartphone that has gained popularity due to its technical characteristics, pleasant appearance and affordable price. The device is one of the best-selling smartphones from Lenovo in 2015. Analogue of this device is Lenovo K3 Lemon Music. Soon after the release of the first version of the smartphone, a more powerful modification was released - Lenovo A6000 Plus.

Lenovo A6000 is an excellent choice for those who want to get a modern smartphone without overpaying for unused features. The device will be a good assistant for study and entertainment.

During the operation of Lenovo smartphones, which are widely used today, unexpected hardware failures may occur, which will lead to the inability to normal functioning devices. In addition, any smartphone requires periodic updating of the operating system and updating the firmware version. The article discusses methods for reinstalling system software, upgrading and downgrading the Android version, as well as methods for restoring software-inoperative Lenovo A6000 devices.

The A6000 model from one of the most famous Chinese electronics manufacturers, Lenovo, is overall a very balanced device. The heart of the device is quite powerful processor Qualcomm 410, which, given the sufficient amount of RAM, allows the device to work under control, including the most modern Android versions. When switching to new builds, reinstalling the OS and restoring the software part of the device, it is important to choose effective tools for flashing the device, as well as carefully carry out the procedure for installing the system software.

All actions aimed at interfering with the software of all devices without exception carry certain risks of damaging the device. The user follows the instructions at his own discretion and desire, and is responsible for the result of his actions!

As when installing software in any other Android devices, before operations with memory partitions on the Lenovo A6000, some preparatory procedures are required. Doing the following will allow you to flash the firmware quickly and get the desired result without any problems.

Drivers

Almost all methods of installing system software in the Lenovo A6000 involve the use of a PC and specialized flashing utilities. To ensure the interaction of the smartphone with the computer and software You will need to install the appropriate drivers.

Detailed installation of components needed when flashing Android devices? discussed in the material at the link below. If you have any difficulties with this issue, we recommend that you read:

The simplest method to equip the operating system with components for pairing with the A6000 in question is to use a driver package with auto-installation for Lenovo Android devices. You can download the installer from the link:

  1. Extract the file from the archive received from the link above AIO_LenovoUsbDriver_autorun_1.0.14_internal.exe

    and launch it.

  2. Follow the instructions of the installer program,

in the process we confirm the installation of unsigned drivers.

  3. Upon completion of the installer, close the finishing window by pressing the button "Ready" and proceed to checking the correctness of the installation.
  4. To make sure everything is necessary components are present in the system, open the window "Device Manager" and connect the Lenovo A6000 to the PC in the following modes.

To exit the firmware mode, you need to hold down the key for a long time (about 10 seconds). "Inclusion".

Backup

When flashing the Lenovo A6000 using any method, the information contained in the internal memory of the device will almost always be erased. Before starting the process of reinstalling the operating system of the device, you should take care to save backup all data of value to the user. We save and copy everything important in any available way. Only after gaining confidence that data recovery is possible, we proceed to the procedure of overwriting partitions of the smartphone’s memory!

Change region code

The A6000 model was intended for sale throughout the world and could have entered the territory of our country in a wide variety of ways, including unofficial ones. Thus, the owner of the smartphone in question may have a device with any regional identifier in his hands. Before proceeding with the firmware of the device, as well as after its completion, it is recommended to change the identifier to the one corresponding to the region where the phone will be used.

The packages discussed in the examples below were installed on a Lenovo A6000 with the identifier "Russia". Only in this option can you be sure that the software packages downloaded from the links below will be installed without failures or errors. To check/change the identifier, do the following.

The smartphone will be reset to factory settings, and all data contained in the memory will be destroyed!

Installing firmware

In order to install Android on Lenovo A1000, use one of four methods. When choosing a firmware method and the appropriate tools, you should be guided by the initial state of the device (boots and works normally or is “bricked”), as well as the purpose of the manipulation, that is, the version of the system that should be installed as a result of the operation. Before you begin to perform any actions, it is recommended that you read the relevant instructions from beginning to end.

Method 1: Factory recovery

The first way Lenovo firmware The A6000 we'll be looking at is using the factory recovery environment to install official versions of Android.

The tool is very easy to use, and as a result of its use, you can get an updated version of the system software and at the same time, if you wish, save user data. As an example, we install the official version of the software into the smartphone in question. S040 based on Android 4.4.4. You can download the package from the link:

  1. Place the zip package with the software on the memory card installed in the device.
  2. Boot into recovery mode. To do this, with the A6000 turned off, press the buttons simultaneously "Increase volume" And "Nutrition". After the logo appeared "Lenovo" and short vibration key "Nutrition" let go, and "Volume Up" hold until the screen with diagnostic menu items appears. Select the item from the list of suggested options "recovery",

which will boot into the factory recovery environment.

  3. If during work you want to remove all applications from your phone and the “garbage” that has accumulated during their operation, you can clean up the partitions by calling the function "wipe data/factory reset".
  4. Using the volume control keys, select the item "apply update from sdcard" on the main recovery screen, then indicate to the system the package to be installed.
  5. The suggested update will be installed automatically.
  6. Upon completion of the operation, a reboot is initiated, the smartphone starts with the reinstalled/updated system.
  7. If data was cleared before installation, we will initial setup Android, and then use the installed system.

Method 2: Lenovo Downloader

Lenovo smartphone developers have created a utility for installing system software in devices of their own brand. The flasher is called Downloader Lenovo. Using the tool, you can completely overwrite the device’s memory partitions, thus updating the version of the official operating system, or roll back to a previously released build, and also install Android “cleanly.”

  1. Unpack the received archives into a separate folder.
  2. We launch the flasher by opening the file QcomDLoader.exe

    from folder Downloader_Lenovo_V1.0.2_EN_1127.

  3. Click the button on the far left with the image of a large gear "Load rom package" located at the top of the Downloader window. This button opens a window "Browse folders", in which you need to mark the directory with the software - "SW_058" and then press "OK".
  4. Click "Start download"— the third button from the left at the top of the window, stylized as "Play".
  5. We connect Lenovo A6000 in mode "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader" to the USB port of the PC. To do this, turn off the device completely, press and hold the keys "Volume+" And "Volume-" simultaneously, and then connect the USB cable to the device connector.
  6. The loading of image files into the device’s memory will begin, which is confirmed by a filling progress bar "Progress". The whole procedure takes 7-10 minutes.

Interrupting the data transfer process is unacceptable!

  7. Upon completion of the firmware in the field "Progress" status will be displayed "Finish".
  8. We disconnect the smartphone from the PC and turn it on by pressing and holding the key "Nutrition" before the bottle appears. The first boot will take quite a long time; initialization of installed components can take up to 15 minutes.
  9. Additionally. After the first boot into Android after installing the system, it is recommended, but not necessary to skip the initial setup, to copy one of the patch files to the memory card to change the region identifier, obtained from the link below (the name of the zip package corresponds to the region in which the device is used).
  10. The patch must be flashed through the native recovery environment by following steps similar to steps 1-2.4 of the instructions "Method 1: Factory recovery" above in the article.

  11. The firmware is completed, you can proceed to configuration

    and using the reinstalled system.

Method 3: QFIL

The method of flashing Lenovo A1000 firmware using a specialized universal tool Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL), designed for manipulating memory sections of Qualcomm devices, is the most radical and effective. It is most often used to restore “bricked” devices, as well as in cases where other methods do not bring results, but can also be used for regular firmware installation with clearing the device’s memory.

  1. The QFIL utility is part of software package QPST. Download the archive from the link:
  2. Unpack what we received,

then install the applications following the installer's instructions QPST.2.7.422.msi.

  3. Download and unpack the archive with the firmware. The following steps cover the installation of the official version of the Lenovo A6000 system, the latest version at the time of writing - S062 on Android based 5.
  4. Using Explorer, go to the directory where QPST was installed. By default, the utility file is located at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Qualcomm\QPST\bin
  5. Launch the utility QFIL.exe. It is advisable to open on behalf of the Administrator.
  6. Click "Browse" near the field "ProgrammerPath" and in the Explorer window indicate the path to the file prog_emmc_firehose_8916.mbn from the directory containing the firmware files. Having selected the component, click "Open".
  7. Similar to the step above by clicking "Load XML..." add files to the program:

  8. We remove the battery from the Lenovo A6000, press both volume keys and, holding them, connect the USB cable to the device.

Inscription "No Port Aviable" in the upper part of the QFIL window, after the system detects the smartphone, it should change to "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM_XX)".

  9. Click "Download", which will start the procedure for rewriting the memory of the Lenovo A6000.
  10. During the data transfer process, the field "Status" filled with records of ongoing actions.

The firmware process cannot be interrupted!

  11. The inscription will indicate that the procedures were completed successfully "Finish Download" in field "Status".
  12. Disconnect the device from the PC, install the battery and start it by long pressing the key "Inclusion". The first launch after installing Android via QFIL will take a very long time; the Lenovo screensaver may freeze for up to 15 minutes.
  13. Regardless of the initial software state of the Lenovo A6000, after following the above steps of the instructions, we get the device

with the latest version of the operating system offered by the manufacturer at the time of writing.

Method 4: Modified recovery

Despite the good specifications Lenovo A6000, the manufacturer is in no hurry to release official firmware versions for smartphones based on new versions of Android. But third-party developers have created many custom solutions for the popular device, based on OS versions up to 7.1 Nougat.

Installing unofficial solutions allows you to get not only latest version Android on a smartphone, but also to optimize its operation, as well as make it possible to use new functions. Almost everything custom firmware are installed the same way.

To obtain positive results when following the proposed instructions for installing modified system software on the Lenovo A6000, any firmware based on Android 5 and higher must be pre-installed!

Installation of modified recovery

Used as a tool for installing unofficial versions of Android in Lenovo A6000 custom recovery. It is very simple to install this recovery environment on the device in question. The popularity of the model led to the creation of a special script for TWRP installation into the device.

Custom installation

We will install one of the most stable and popular among model owners who decide to switch to a custom, system softwareResurrection Remix OS based on Android 6.0.

That's all. We hope that applying the above instructions will give positive results and accordingly will turn the Lenovo A6000 into a perfectly working smartphone that brings its owner only positive emotions due to the flawless performance of its functions!

When choosing a device in the mid-price category, you should pay attention to the Chinese manufacturer. The A6000, presented in 2015, pleasantly stands out among its analogues.

Appearance

The smartphone cannot boast of a particularly eye-catching design. Externally, the device looks more like a budget model from the company. This situation is an excellent example of neglecting the appearance of not the cheapest devices. Considering the thorough design of flagships, this attitude is upsetting.

The front side of the device has touch buttons for control, a 5-inch screen, a speaker, sensors, a company logo and a camera.

At the back are the main camera, logo and two speakers.

On the right side of the device there is a power button, as well as a volume control. The USB socket and headphone input are located at the top end.

You can see that the phone has not undergone any significant changes compared to previous models.

I would also like to pay attention to the body itself, in particular the screen glass. The company did not bother with the oleophobic coating for the protective element. As a result, fingerprints will become an incredible problem for the owner.

What makes the problem worse is that too dirty glass prevents the sensor from working properly. This is an incredible shortcoming of a phone equipped with a large display.

In general, the smartphone turned out to be quite light for its size. The weight of the device is only 128 grams. Actually, this will allow you to work quite comfortably with one hand.

Camera

To our great surprise, the smartphone is capable of taking pictures of only average quality. This situation arose with the camera due to the use of already established developments. Only 8 megapixels were installed in the device.

Such a solution might have been relevant several years ago, but it is irrelevant for a modern mid-range device. Perhaps this is a miscalculation of the company or a way to save money and thereby reduce the cost of the device. But such a camera looks very unpresentable.

The situation with the front camera is a little better. The cameras on the front side have 2 megapixels. This is quite enough for both video calling and selfies.

In general, the device's cameras are underwhelming. Most budget devices have similar characteristics and take the same pictures.

Display

The installed 5-inch screen is perfect for display. The display characteristics will please the user with good resolution and the use of IPS technology.

The screen is very rich and bright, so there is no glare from the sun. The use of IPS technology makes viewing angles almost maximum.

I got the A6000 with a resolution of 1280 x 720, and this is already HD. The image quality is amazing. Actually, the user will not notice much of a difference between HD and its more advanced version with the full prefix used by flagships.

The screen supports the same usual 5 touches.

Filling

The owners will be most pleased with the hardware of the Lenovo A6000. The review of the filling should start with a 64-bit processor called SnapDragon with as many as 4 cores. The frequency of each is 1.2 GHz, which in total gives good performance.

The company has installed a pretty good video accelerator Adreno 306. Of course, this is not the best the best choice, but in the device it shows itself on the good side.

The company decided to save on RAM as well. The Lenovo A6000 phone has only one gigabyte. Compared to the processor and its frequency, this memory characteristic looks strange. Definitely, the device will not have enough RAM to perform complex tasks.

The phone has 8 GB of native memory. In reality, about 6 will be available to the user, because part of it is occupied by “Android”.

The remaining memory will be divided into 3 GB for installing applications and games, and the rest for other user needs.

You can expand the memory capacity with a 32 GB flash drive. The device works with such a volume stably and without braking.

System

The device uses Android 4.4. A fairly good system allows you to maximize the capabilities of the device.

The disadvantage of the Android A6000 is the poor optimization of the proprietary shell. The previously used VibeUI in this model shows itself to be rather mediocre.

If necessary, you can replace “Android” with a more modern one, version 5.0. Probably, all the shortcomings of the shell will be corrected in it.

Battery

The installed battery cannot cope with all the demands of the Lenovo A6000. Reviews about the device are full of dissatisfaction with the capacity of only 2300 mAh. Such a battery would look good on low-power devices, but not on the A6000.

The company said the active run time is 13 hours. In reality, the mobile phone will work for 6-8 hours. Of course, in standby mode with minimal use, the device can last 2 days, but no more. Even in previous models the battery was many times more powerful. Control will help to slightly increase the duration active functions and reducing the brightness of the device’s display. Many people recommend taking the simpler approach and replacing the battery with a more powerful analogue.

Sound

The device's two stereo speakers deserve admiration. Using Dolby Audio makes the sound loud and quite pleasant. There are minor wheezes, but these are minor flaws. The speakers are definitely placed poorly. Holding the phone in hand will cause the user to close both.

The earpiece is also good. Despite the lack of noise reduction, the interlocutor can be heard perfectly.

Price

Despite the presence of a lot of shortcomings, the price asked for the Lenovo A6000 looks acceptable. A Chinese new product costs approximately 10 thousand rubles. We can safely say that this is one of the most inexpensive middle-class devices. Considering the performance and advantages of the Lenovo A6000, the price is quite justified.

Equipment

The device kit includes: USB cable, adapter, headphones Bad quality, battery, instructions. You can also buy a case for Lenovo A6000 and a capacitive battery. You will definitely have to replace the headset, because its quality is really bad.

Advantages

There are a lot of positive aspects and the owners rate the device’s internals very highly. A high-quality processor allows the device to cope with many tasks. The RAM fails a little, but this is not a critical problem.

The sound of the device is also worthy of attention. It doesn't matter whether you're watching a video or playing music, the quality will be excellent. Of course, the device is a little lacking low frequencies, but this is a problem with many mobile phones.

The excellent screen also deserves praise. High resolution and modern technologies make the picture pleasing to the eye. Watching HD on a 5-inch display will be a pleasure.

You can’t ignore the possibility of flashing the firmware right up to the latest version"Android".

A definite plus is the cost of the device. The mobile phone compares favorably with its competitors when comparing prices.

Flaws

There are also disadvantages in the Lenovo A6000 device. Reviews from device owners boil down to dissatisfaction with the camera. In fact, this is the weakest point of the smartphone. Installing a camera from previous years significantly worsens the impression. You can't count on high-quality photos.

Also, when using the device, a weak battery makes itself felt. Demanding characteristics and a power-hungry system drain the smartphone pretty quickly.

The shortcomings of the shell on the native version of Android are also confusing. Of course, the problem can be solved with basic firmware, but this is quite unpleasant.

The owner will most likely have to buy an additional cover for the Lenovo A6000, because the device quickly gets dirty. The absence of an oleophobic coating on the glass affects it.

The appearance will not cause delight either. The device does not stand out at all against the general background.

Improved audio system.

The A6000 delivers superior sound quality when watching movies, listening to music and playing games - both through the two built-in speakers and through headphones. With Dolby Digital Plus™ technology and optimized volume levels, you get rich, deep, and lifelike sound—even in noisy environments. The smartphone is ideal for those who passionately love music and cannot imagine their life without headphones.

Ultra-high data transfer speed.

The A6000 supports LTE (4G) networks, providing high-speed data transfer. You can enjoy online games, videos and music without any restrictions or delays.

High-quality five-inch HD display.

Five-inch HD display Lenovo smartphone With vibrant colors and excellent resolution, the A6000 is designed for multimedia entertainment. It will make all your videos, games and photos incredibly clear and vibrant. Thanks to the IPS matrix, the widest viewing angles are achieved - almost 180 degrees. The A6000's large, bright display is perfect for entertaining with friends.

Fast, reliable and flexible.
