How to install an office yourself. Installing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)

There are three package delivery options Microsoft Office: on CD; as a complete installation package, which is one executable file, about 600 MB in volume; as a Click-to-Run installation package of approximately 3 MB - this executable file contains only the components required to begin installation. All missing components are downloaded from the Internet from the Microsoft server during installation.

On the one hand, this option requires a stable high-speed Internet connection, on the other hand, it allows you to start working with the applications included in the package even before its installation is completed.

Installing the Microsoft Office package takes place in two stages: preliminary configuration of installation parameters using a wizard and the installation itself. Pre-configuration of installation parameters is carried out in several steps using the Installation Wizard. If you have any difficulties at any step, press the button to call up help information.

  • Run the installation program and wait for the Wizard dialog box to open (Fig. 1.1).
  • In the text input field, enter license key, received with the Microsoft Office distribution. If your computer is connected to the Internet, you can select the Attempt to automatically activate my product online check box to automatically activate the program at this stage of installation. At this step, activation is not mandatory, and it can be performed later, when you first launch the program.
  • Wait until the key verification is completed and click the Continue button to proceed to the next setup step. Next, you will be asked to read the license agreement.
  • Select the I accept the terms of agreement check box and click Continue to select installation options. Refusal to accept the license agreement will exit the Wizard without installing Microsoft Office. In the next step, two buttons will be displayed in the Wizard dialog box: Customize and, depending on whether a previous version of Microsoft Office is installed on your computer or not, Install now or Upgrade. Each button is responsible for one of three possible options settings:
    • Install now - displayed if a previous version of Microsoft Office is not detected on the system. Clicking this button installs the package with the recommended configuration. That is, all the main components of the programs will be installed and most of the additional ones with the exception of some special components, some of which will be asked to be installed the first time you access them. This option is suitable for novice users who do not know which components of the Microsoft Office suite they may need for their work;
    • Upgrade - displayed if a previous version of Microsoft Office is installed on the system. When you select this option, the previous version of Microsoft Office that Setup detected on your computer is automatically uninstalled, and the new version is installed with the recommended settings;
    • Customize - Allows you to select specific installation options, including installing specific programs from a package, for example, only one of them, rather than all offered applications. You can also specify the folder in which the programs will be installed, for example, if you do not want to remove the previous version or want to install the programs on a larger disk partition. This option is suitable for more experienced users who know which components of the package they may need in their work.
  • Click the Upgrade or Install now button to install Microsoft Office in automatic mode with the recommended configuration, then click Close when installation is complete.
  • To select installation options, click the Customize button, after which the Wizard dialog box will display the installation options settings (Fig. 1.2), located on three tabs: Installation Options, File Location and User Information ( User information). By default, the Installation Options tab is open. Here you can select from a list of basic and additional components those that will be installed on your computer, as well as options for installing them. Number of Microsoft members Office programs and components vary depending on the version.
  • To view a list of additional components, click on the “+” icon next to the name of the main component. The symbol next to a component indicates the default installation method. Click on this symbol and select the required option from the list that appears. The symbols have the following meanings.
    • Run from My Computer - the component is installed on HDD computer. No additional components are installed.
    • Run all from My Computer - installs the component and all additional components included in it.
    • Installed on First Use - the component is installed on the hard drive upon first request. This may require access to the original installation CD, or to an Internet server if you are installing using the ClicktoRun package. This option may not be available for some components.
    • Component Not Available - this component will not be installed.

Any symbol above on a white background means that the main component and all additional components included in it are installed in the same way. If the symbol is on a gray background, then the component and additional components are installed in different ways.
If you still decide to install only the editor Microsoft Word, then one should take into account the rather tight integration of the components of the Microsoft Office suite. Failure to install some components may reduce functionality text editor, especially for components included in the Office Shared Features and Office Tools groups. Before refusing to install these components, you should carefully read their descriptions or, if you are not confident in your knowledge, select the installation option Installed on First Use.

Next to it will be indicated the amount of disk space required for installation and free disk space. As installation parameters change, this figure will change.

  • After selecting the option to install Microsoft Office components, click the File Location shortcut to go to that tab. In the text entry field, specify the path to the folder in which the Microsoft Office components will be installed, or click the Browse button and select the path in the dialog box that opens. By default this is C:Program FilesMicrosoft Office. Below the text input field, information about the required and available disk space for installation is displayed.
  • To enter personal information, go to the User information tab. In the Full Name text entry field, enter your first and last name. In the Initials and Organization fields, enter your initials and the name of the organization you work for. These data are optional and serve for identification purposes. working together with documents, and are also indicated in the properties of the documents you create.
  • When the setup is complete, click the Install now button, and after the installation process is complete, click the Close button.
  • If a previous version of Microsoft Office was installed on your computer, then when you click the Customize button in the installation options dialog box, another tab will be displayed - Upgrade. This tab specifies what happens to the previous version of Microsoft Office during installation. You can choose complete or partial removal previous version or saving it if you want to work in both versions in parallel.

From time to time people think about how to install Office on their computer. This is not the most difficult task if you approach it correctly. Below you will find simple instructions, tips and recommendations for bringing your idea to life. What will help you install Microsoft Office? How can one cope with this kind of task?

    From disk

To install Office in Windows, users can act in different ways. It all depends on the personal preferences of each person.

The first installation option is to use the installation disk. Typically this technique is used if the user has purchased official version MS Office.

The step-by-step application initialization procedure will look like this:

  • Turn on the computer and open the disk drive.
  • Insert installation disk"Office" and close the drive.
  • Wait for loading. A small dialog box will appear on the screen. Here you have to select the “Install” command.
  • Agree to the license.
  • Specify the Office installation path. It is better to leave the default "address" suggested.
  • Check the boxes for all applications that will need to be installed after the operation is completed. For example, you can initialize only Word and Excel. In some cases, to select applications you need to click on the “Settings” section.
  • Click on the "Next" button.
  • Specify license code from office programs. It must be written on the packaging or on the disc itself. Sometimes this step appears after launching a particular program or at the initial stage of working with the Initialization Wizard.
  • Wait for initialization to complete.
  • To restart a computer.
  • It is done. Now it’s clear how to install Office on a computer from a disk. This is a fairly simple task, especially if the user purchased the official version of the utility.

Unfortunately, not everyone works with licensed software. And therefore, next we will consider non-standard solutions to the problem. They will help you get Office applications for free.

    Free and without disk

Is it possible to install "Office" for free without registration? Yes, but this is not a completely fair solution. It is suitable for home use of applications, but they cannot be used in companies.

We are talking about initializing a hacked version of MS Office. It is usually suggested to act like this:

  • Find a hacked version of The Office on the Internet. It is advisable to use torrents or trusted sources for this task.
  • Unpack and run the resulting file.
  • Specify initialization in the installation settings trial version.
  • Set installation parameters. For example, what programs should be installed or where to initialize utilities.
  • Click on the "Install" button. Sometimes you need to press the "Next" control to continue the operation.
  • Launch "Crack". Usually it is included in the set with the hacked "Office".
  • Click on the "Generate" button. Information with the serial number (key) will appear on the screen.
  • Launch Office and disconnect from the Internet.
  • Select the "Enter key" option.
  • Enter generated serial number.
  • Confirm the operation.
  • The matter is completed. Now it’s clear how to install the hacked version of Office. This is not the most difficult task out there.

    Ready key

How can I install Office differently? You can initialize the hacked version of the application differently. The method is suitable for assemblies without a keygen.

In this case, most often you need:

  • Launch MS Office Installation Wizard.
  • Find in the archive a document with a key.
  • Indicate the key to the "Office" and confirm the continuation of the operation.
  • Follow the first instruction we learned.
  • In a few minutes, the user will have Office installed on his computer. There shouldn't be any difficulties.

    With file replacement

How to install "Office"? The last option is to replace existing files. Typically this technique is not used very often, but it does occur in practice.

The algorithm of actions boils down to the following operations:

  • Launch the "Installation Wizard".
  • Initializing a trial version of applications.
  • Search for the Office license file. It has been archived with free version MS Office.
  • Replacing an existing license file with a hacked document. The exact location of the document must be indicated in the archive with the Office installation file.

Code you install operating system Windows 2007, you need to install the programs it contains. This includes Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and some others. They are collected in Microsoft Office 2007 and are standard. For them to work, you need to know how to install Office.

    Installation from disk

If you have a disk with Office programs, you need to insert it into the drive and launch it. The computer automatically starts the licensed disc. But if this does not happen, you can try to launch it yourself by going to the “setup.exe” folder on the disk.

When the launch has occurred, select the programs you need to install. Eat standard list, to which you can add the programs you will use. In the window on the screen, find the “advanced” mode. When you click on this box, you will see the programs. Check the boxes that need to be installed. Then click Continue. The programs will install fairly quickly depending on how many of them you select.

Now, to activate any of the Office programs, open it. A window will appear in front of you in which you need to enter the code. You can see it in the instructions (in the disc box). After the introduction, you can use each program that you installed and activated.

    Installation from the Internet

Even without a disk, you can install Microsoft Office for free. There are many resources on the Internet where you can download Microsoft Office 2007 without purchasing it. But it’s better to go to the official website and download Office there. Find the one you are looking for (2007), click the "Download" button. In order for Office to be downloaded to your computer, register on the website and receive a download link to your email. The Office version is trial, but licensed. Therefore, along with the link, you will be sent a download key.

The information that came to your email address must be placed on the site after the request window appears. In a few minutes, a folder with Microsoft Office 2007 will appear on your computer. You need to run it to “unpack” it. After unpacking, you will see a window where you need to enter the same key as on the site. You also need to check the “I agree with the license agreement” box. Then click the Continue button.

Before installing Microsoft Office, select the programs you need. If all the Office components you need are installed by default, click on the “Install” button. If you want to add some, click on “Settings”. In the settings section, you can select the programs that are needed (check the box next to them) and those that are not needed (uncheck the box next to them). Then designate where the programs should be. When all formalities have been completed, click “Continue”.

Now you need to wait a few minutes (up to 10-15 minutes). Further settings occur automatically. When the installation completion window appears on your screen, open several programs to make sure they are working properly. IN unlicensed version installation is similar, except for registration. You may be asked for a phone number or asked to enter a captcha.
